Burg Vinica - Stari grad Vinica ~ Mediaeval stone castle

This mediaeval stone castle is located near Vinica, on Vinica breg in Varazdin county, Croatia. Near is also famous arboretum Opeka and castle of count Bombelles. Remains are telling us about higher quality of building. The groundplan is very similair to Veliki Tabor.
First record of this fortress is 1353. and it was abandoned at the end of 17. century.
Owners were king Sigismund of Luxembourg, Grafen Cilli (Celjski), Corvinus Janos, family Gyulay, Nikola Istvanffy, families Keglevic, Draskovic, Malakoczy, Erdödy and bombelles.
