Trey'Dez's speed I think is what makes him special. Of course he can separate vertically with his size but when he can also separate across the field with his speed that unlocks something special with that dude. He's gonna be a star
I'm looking forward to seeing who the tigers will add at Safety. When Whitt Weeks gets back this will be a complete playoff team. Can hardly wait to see them beat Clemson and rock the polls!
Taylor is more of a prototypical TE and Green is more of a Jimmy Graham type TE,hopefully they work on his blocking skills if they keeping him at TE,but regardless he’s a DUDE
There's a few things I would want to see next year, and if so, no one will stop us. 1. We gotta work on the running game scheme. To me, the running game is too simple, with no creativity to it,part of why we are not too good in the run game. 2. We have to get Stamps#1 at the cornerback OFF THE FIELD. When you really look at the Baylor and other games this year, that guy has given up or on his side of the field so many good things happened for the other team. He's not it. Please cut his time down next year. The Baylor game showed it more he's not that guy for us. 3. If Garrett would just take off and run with the ball maybe just 5 times a game or show the present of you are will to take off and run OMG that would make so much of a difference in the Game. It will add another thing to the offense that our opponent will have to think about, " oh man watch for Garrett he'll take off on ya". Not saying to become a running QB or anything that's not him, but man on some broken plays or no one open Garrett can and could have taken off and ran for a first down or ran for extra yards/positive yards but he didn't. Look at Ohio state QB, he's not a runner but he will take off if it comes to it... those things make so much of a difference.. 4. Blake come up with a couple different blitz. I feel Blake blitz game is one way " straight ". There's no twist to it, add some type of twist to the blitz packages, I tell ya that will make us dangerous on blitz's. 5. We have to some how keep Green#14 on the field most of the time in our offense. He's too much of a nightmare. We have continue working on feeding him a nice feed in the offense. There's a couple more things but those or to ME the top 5 things if can happen and be done next year, WE WILL WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!! 🏆
I think our run game will improve next season, the oline transfers we have coming in both score pretty well in run blocking. If we had a consistent run game this season I don’t think Nuss would have thrown half the picks he did, he was trying to force throws because there was little to no threat of a run. I trust Coach Davis to get the new line humming this offseason, Geaux Tigers!
@aaronjusa9134 most what you have said I agree with. Like Bo is the coach we need, the run game will improve next year. Now Garrett yes a couple times maybe but he's a gun slinger so some times that mind of he's think he can fit balls in to spots some times and some times that becomes of him maybe doing to much with the throw when the throw maybe could have been simple or again it's OK to take off and run sometimes and Garrett doesn't want to run at all. But even with the new pieces of the line coming, still feel we need more creative to our run game. It's to simple
@FredPitre-o4b not sure where you are basing those numbers off of but it's more than just allowing some passing yards. It's missed tackles, It's the timing when those balls are made on him. It's not him giving up 100 yards a game because, of course, he wouldn't be playing at all if that was the case, but it's the moments for him that's the problem
Run game needs improvement/creativity. And, I've been saying that if Nuss would just pull the ball 5 or so times a game it would keep defenses honest. We wouldn't be one dimensional, and we would put up more points.
Green is only a freshman so he'll get better at run blocking as he gets stronger. He is still really young. Another year or 2 in the strength and nutrition program and he'll fill out nicely
Right, he's like a big WR now. And that's fine. He could be used so effectively in so many ways, without being much of a blocker. Almost like you don't want him to be wasted as a blocker. But if he's going to really play TE for real, he will have to improve. But time is on his side. Mason Taylor was like, the perfect TE. Impossible to replace. Just because he did everything good, and was so incredibly clutch.
I love Green, but I also think Pimpton could have been a Star as well if he had stayed. There's room for more than just one Star at TE, we saw that in the Oklahoma game. I see this mistake made with the Saints as well, we think just because we got one Star starter at a position we have no need for the same level of talent behind them. Seasons are long and unfortunately injuries happen. If the talent behind the starter is just as good then there's not as big of a drop off if there's an injury. But I think it was a bad move by Pimpton to leave because that Oklahoma game showed they could have 3 Star TE's contributing at the same time in one game!! Now Taylor is gone Pimpton and Green could have been a Dynamic Duo at the TE position and a matchup nightmare. Kelly's done it before at Notre Dame with the TE position. I wish Pimpton would come back!!
Pimpton can't block. His whiff on a block was a big reason they lost the USC game. And when he can't block and he's in the game they become predictable. Him moving on is the best option for him and LSU
@@mack72711 It's college, he's there to improve before becoming a pro!! Green isn't the greatest blocker yet, and may never be! But that is not his greatest asset nor was it Pimpton's either. If we got rid of every player for one bad play, we wouldn't have a team. Please think before making a statement!!!!!
I agree that he should have stayed. I don't get these kids. You sat behind the veteran. He's leaving. Now, you would be one of the two starting TE"s. But, now that you've waited your turn, you bounce??
Trey'Dez has size and speed that automatically make him a problem for opposing defenses. That's what we know so far. But when he actually starts running crisp routes, getting in front of the defense, making moves down field, he'll be an absolute nightmare to defend. Then you have that contingent of WRs that will take away the safeties opening up man coverage for him. Good luck with that Big AL, piss, A&M, and so on. 😮 Not to mention his ability to block down field during running plays and screen passes. Look out! The rest of the SEC better take notice or get burned. With a healthy productive Green, 2025 is gonna be nuts! Geaux Tigers! Gotta get the defense sorted out though. Improvements were made compared to last season, but there's a lot more work to do. Especially against running QBs. Safety and LB have to step it up and kill drives. Not just on 4th downs, but affect downs 1-3. Get the D off the field allowing our O to impose their will. Great content as always Matt. Looking forward to getting more talent from the portal.
In my opinion..we are a year or 2 from natty. Need running scheme, faster Lbs (they will be coming this year) and corners have to be able to guard 1v1. Too many times I feel like we got mossed or beat deep.
Sloan system is send everybody deep on 20 yard cross patters and leave one tight end to drag route ..If the receivers were going 15 yards Nus could get through his progressions quicker and check downs quicker..the Kool Aid is nice but either Sloan goes or you bring in a Quarterback coach like a Joe Beast who can work with Nus and develop him and have him in sink with his WR..Because long developing pass routes wishing for a drag receiver is what LSU has been running all year.
If Trey Dez Green had played more during this past year, 2024, we would have been better than 6 and 4 on the season. Perhaps the GURUs behind the players (coaches are not really GURUs after all. Great win for our Team. Poor coaching up until Jan 1
I have a question I think is good for a debate. How good of a coach is Brian Kelly? His old team ND is in the playoffs with a 12-1 record one of the top defenses in the nation the coach that replaced him, there was able to create a possible national championship team in the same amount of time that he’s been at LSU with all the advantages that he claimed that he would have here in the SEC but is yet to deliver. So was ND being just OKAY for years we the coach is what I’m seeing so is he really the right choice for us?
Trey'Dez's speed I think is what makes him special. Of course he can separate vertically with his size but when he can also separate across the field with his speed that unlocks something special with that dude. He's gonna be a star
Can't wait until next football season let's go Tigers!

Clemson will win
its BK..we're losing that first game
@@LilRedRasta dont matter just win 10 games you in thats tough 1st game man on road at night with senior qb an you know nuss goin throw pick
Thanks Matt!

now we know why Pimpton jetted

Last 5 games of regular season Stamps allowed a grand total on 89 pass yards. Those numbers will get you some PT.

He actually did pretty amazing all things considered . I couldn’t be happier with him going into the offseason

Green is way better than taylor not close. Maason 3rd round pick. Green on pace be 1st
I think Stamps can be a good nickel back/slot corner
Best LSU Podcast by far
Great news for 2025.

Will BK still let Trey’Dez Green play Basketball this season?
Definitely
4:07 in fairness to Taylor, Sloan rarely ever gave the guy any targets in the end zone
Learning how to scheme and stop a damn mobile quarterback should be at the top of the list. Geaux get him HP7!!
TDG was awesome

I love LSU go Green
I mostly want our defense to improve, that's the missing piece
The defense is what makes us a tough out on the road and impossible to beat at home. This offense will score on anybody once the new pieces are added.
I think if we beat Clemson in Clemson to start the season, we will play for an SEC championship, and go to the playoffs.
Goal is beating Clemson, that's it.

Just think, 8 playoff teams went 0-8 and 4 playoff teams are 8-0.
I'm a every-day-er 😂😂
I'm definitely looking forward to 2025 season. Let's GEAUX 💜 💛
What I would like to see next year is a new head coach. Brian “choke” Kelly needs to go.
lol the expert lol
