Fighting the Dino Rhinos shows why not being able to target specific enemies isn't a good design choice, especially when you have enemies whose behavior depends on another enemy. The Dino Rhino tamer, who is a regular Shy Guy, is always in front, so I'm most likely going to defeat him first even though I don't want to, which causes the Dino Rhinos to go berserk because they don't have a tamer anymore. All of this could be mitigated if I could choose to get rid of the Dino Rhinos first, so I don't have to endure their Rage attacks.
