Was a stocker for a Mexican grocery store for about a year and 7 months. I miss it but i left because i was getting really depressed but you’re videos definitely helped me out a lot. I will always revisit your old videos no matter what🙏🏽
They hardly put me into the can aisles, but the way you open them looks easier then what I've been doing THANK YOU! THANK YOU SO FRICKEN MUCH! day one they just threw me out onto the floor no training what so ever just because I used to work at WM a few years ago and everyone I worked with gave little to no actual advice. It didn't take long for me to realize that everyone was as new as me If not a few months in because my WM fires people like crazy. Legit this dude that's close to the managers talked about management having a fire list of 8 people or more 4 different times, we eventually ended up with 3 managers (when we should have 6, we're going to lose one soon, just lost another) and 7 people stocking when we're suppose to have 30. The oldest person that worked there was 6 months in while the one dude that worked 20 years died not to long ago. It makes me sad they fire people so easily because it's hard to learn/train/figure things out when you don't know, your teammate doesn't know, you can't find a manager and when you do they don't want to answer. Seriously are managers don't like answering questions, I was told to only ask this one because the others don't like it and are just there, but sadly the one is going to leave soon- And I want to do better but I struggle opening boxes because of how tough the glue is
@@No1zHerO I never tried punching the glue ones, but I've tried punching the cruddy perforated ones and it sometimes works, other times the box sags in or resists
@@No1zHerO I actually changed it up recently to cutting them open and placing them on the shelf if they give me too much trouble to save time. Really Frozen, baking and chemicals have the worst of the worst boxes, snacks sometimes, but those I kinda figured out last night
How hard is this job? I got a job at lowes for recieving and stocking. I have no experience with the inbound process I only ever worked in outbound which is the complete opposite
Okay so when you're case cutting....cut across the top first then tuck your hand in the box, push out and then cut the sides. Little stocking tip I learned from another grocery manager here.
I work at a safeway in Hawaii Kai. What slows me down is roughly half the product I receive is already full on the shelf or it can only take a half case. So I am constantly having to deal with backstock. It takes 4 weeks between the time of ordering a product to receiving it in Hawaii. My question is, is this problem unique to Hawaii? Do you have dead cases / backstock work nights?
James Love bro!! we deall with alot of backstock every night some more than other nights!!. we get loads every Night tho!! and our dog riser is always full =[ !! but we do sell alot!! tho!
Great tips. Like I've said before, we don't tray pack or load whole cases regularly. We have the same UPC digit matching to find product locations. Last night my load never showed up so tonight I'll be walking into a huge battle. Glad you had a great night.
Cristofer Vidz OH HELL YEAH!!! Did yesterday's load just in time for today's to roll in. Started loading that at 5am Got it all done by 6:30am had enough time to work my yogurt back stock boat. Left ALL jazzed up. Thanks Bro for being in my corner.
hi it's 8.30pm I know who honey boo boo is and I'm from England , your video's always make me smile, I find the more work your doing the quicker the night goes and you don't really feel tired it when you stop for break or lunch that you feel tired and the last half a hour last so long it sometimes seems neverending
Manjit Kaur ur all the way from england wow!!!! 😀 ive never been outside of texas ! A big hello to everyone from England!!!! wats the best thing about England??
You look like you have fun doing your Job. That's like the most important thing when you work. If you don't enjoy your job your not going be good at it.
I've learned that speed isn't the answer It's remembering where everything is and how to stock properly I have literally worked like a turtle before while everyone was rushing full speed and I'm like 😊 I'm done and their like 😮
question do they provide you with knives too work with here they give us safety knives to work with as you are not covered by company insurance if you are using Stanley knives I know because I'm a first aider and I have to keep telling people who use them everything thing is quite different over there , I find it interesting how people in a different country do the same job as me but differently
Manjit Kaur they give us box cutters knee pads tape markers pouches to carry wat we need..Our company tries to keep us equipped with everything we might need 😀
at Kroger instead of a circle on the UPC tags there is SSR intials beside the tag for shelf stocking ready to let it's know

Bro , when I would open some of the boxes I would punch em or hit it to get the glue loose and made it easier to open bro
