I had a copy of the Gran Coupe, 4 door......coupe......4 door. Never figured out that one but it was on the C-posts, trunk key guard and the passenger dash. Rebuilt ground up short of paint and new vinyl top when I totaled it.
My parents had a ‘71 Gran Fury, bright orange with white vinyl top. The headlights had sweeping brushes & squirters to clean. They let me take it to Prom.
My grandfather in Florida had one of these in 1975 when I was a little boy I'd go down to Florida and get left with the grandparents and my job was to wash and wax the 1971 Grand Fury. It took all weekend. After I had it all polished he would let me steer the steering wheel while he operated the pedals. Look at the quarter panel trim from the driver door to the rear bumper how would you even mail that these days. That big beast would pull the camper all the way up through the mountains of North Carolina. Today you have to drive a miserable truck to pull a camper with
These are not just cars but a piece of art
My high school friend had the same car in 1977. We road in it all of the time. When we graduated in 1978, we went partying in it. GIGANTIC ashtray.
Really beautiful. A perfect match of elegance and badass.
Gorgeous 'ole classic!
The Gran Coupe was a unique model.

I got out of the Army in 81 and bought a 71 Fury 3 from my friend. Same color. I had the 360 in mine. The guy I sold it to wrapped it around a tree.

I am still trying to think what was better the late 50s gran fury or the 1970s Fuselage era??
Or are they in 2 separate classes by themselves?
Was the Gran coupe a late year model? I always thought this came out in 1972
PARENTS HAD THE WAGON...NICE CAR
There's nothing crunchy on the ground, but i hear crunching
A BIG BONED GAL THAT LOVES BUFFETS
What size is the engine, is it a 360?
Yep
My Fury III had a B block 383, but I see this engine has distributor in the rear , making it an A block -probably 360 as you think.
