Beautiful cleanup and relining. I think it would be gorgeous with your flowers and some trim covering the old outer trim around the top and bottom. I think painting the metal areas if they are tarnished. It looked like some are on my screen but it could be shadows. I like the idea of keeping it near its original state outside. Great job Natasha! Oh, Nat, it is fabulous love the fluffu trom/bobbles. I could'nt leave it! I have three to do, one was Mum's the other two from Charity shops, and for me it will be a nice sutble paper and loads of Lace and fabric/velvet flowers. no paper blooms for these! Hi natasha I love that bobble trim. The inside is looking gorgeous. For me? I would gesso the outside then decoupage paper on top. With the stitched trim in a contrasting painted colour and pearls or bling trim to enhance it. Thanks for sharing xxx

Hi, I think your case looks great so far! I actually did a process video of redoing one of my traincases. I took out the insides and put in new fabric and new chipboard backing to guarantee the smell was gone forever. I also decoupaged the whole outside of the case with map fabric. I ended up giving it to a friend who really loved it and used it for a travel art case. I would love for you to check out the videos. I had to do the whole thing in 4 segments because it was a lengthy job. Anyways, thank you for sharing your beautiful case with us. Brenda Moffett

Oh It came out Awesome! I used napkins on one of mine and did a mixed media technique with junk jewels and stuff. I showed it on a video. You don't have to use napkins on the whole outside. Just pick the graphics you like and strategically place them. Love what you have done already! Hugs, Janet =D

I think the case would look really pretty Deco paged with Parisian Printed paper and lots of bling on the top mixed with the flowers and flourishes and leaves and vines on the top : )) Gorgeous so far! blessings

A great case. For some reason the case reminds me of the '60s. I love the way you transformed the inside. I personally would keep it the way it is on the outside to give it that real shabby chic look and feel. I love the hardware and the handle, again, just reminds me of vintage '60s. I hope you put it up for sale, it's a great piece.

+Ben Iverson wow, its been a while now.. But I think I used glue: fabritac or probable E6000 with hot glue (combo). I like to mix those allot. E6000 needs some time to set in.. meanwhile hot glue will grab it in place right the way.. Hope it helps
Great job on the case! I like everything you used for the interior except the white crochet trim. I think the white does not match with the color scheme. A cream co lor would have gone better, or something similar to the other trim. If it was me I'd do the outside, but I don't like things to look old, and that's just me. I like the idea of dressing up the outside with some bling or fancy fabric! Very creative and thanks for the video!

This os what I want to do with an old case similar to this. It would be for my granddaughter.
