My last car was a white 1987 VL Calais with the baby poo tan interior. It was a sleeper with Walkinshaw rims and a chrome tailpipe. But underneath it had a VP EFI V8, T5 manual and and extractors, cold air intake. It was a build, 95\96, nobody was really putting efis into older cars like now. The guy that did his magic on it was am EFI guru. In 2004 I sold it to a relo for $10k. I cry knowing how much they're worth now.

Been waiting for someone to rep the VL turbo for us, not disappointed. Also got to see that civic at GTR fest this year, owner is a cool and humble dude had a good chat and the car is bloody awesome.
They cut the intros down because of lack of time. And you want them to add more? Not saying you are wrong. But they need to bring the original style car intros back before a mobile dunk.
With the lighter weight they probably expected the Honda to be about equal. But, the 500hp he claimed was on high boost and likely couldn’t hook anyway. Looks like the 600 the Holden claimed was on medium boost and something it could really run.
We have rusty pieces of shit here but there usually stock. When we build/modify cars in Australia we take a lot of pride in the presentation. We usually send the car off for painting before we put in a new engine. It's hard watching a lot of American TH-cam channels because their cars are so messy and unkept.

@@TheyCallMeMrMaybeall RB30 engines were single cam from the factory. People fit the twin cam head onto the RB30 block....either a RB25 head or a RB26 head. Another conversion that's not so common is to use the Nissan RD28 diesel 6 cylinder block and fit the RB26 head. The diesel block was super tough.
Would've been easier and cheaper to swap a K20-24 with a manual 6 speed in that CiviC and turbo it to get 700+ hp, but damn, gotta appreciate the dedication to fitting the SR20T in and RWD!
Yeah, or just put a better transmission behind the SR and feed it more boost. As good as the K series is, Australia has more experience with the SR and we can make big power with them .
can guarantee something is wrong with the civic trans - sounds like the gears are FAR too tall for the motor. Either go sequential or drag specific auto and you'll keep up with the VL, happily
