No need to have your Formula 4 spray bottle on jet, twist the nozzle so it mists. Doesn't require as much product that way and gets better coverage. (And Formula 4 is the best! Love that stuff.)
Hi, you mentioned "dry immediately" I've used this product three times and every time I wash and rinse off every panel and then I start drying it. But there's alway hundreds of water spots... So should I wash, spray and dry one panel at a time??
Hello, my superior was just arrived but i am breaking my head on understanding what 1:10 mix means. Can you tell me how much product and how much water i have to mix in my 32oz bottle? Thanks for the video.
You and Scott from dpc recommended this. Orileys didn't carry it in my town. I'll try online. I Usually buy cheap TW wax as u dry as a drying aid. This dilutable product might be even cheaper in the long run. Thanks for the tip!
@@whatthe2458 I'm guessing LeoC means, Turtle Wax's "Wax and Dry, Spray Wax". It's what I use as well. Used to be able to find it for $4 for 26 oz (Pepboys sale) but now it's about $5 for 26 oz at my local Walmart.
well well..I'm glad you did a video on this product! Have you tried putting it in a foam cannon yet? Also can this be used on ceramic coatings have you found?
I read some say they don't recommend using it in a foam cannon and found the spray bottle sufficient in applying. I wouldn't recommend it for coatings as most coatings are more than hydrophobic enough and wouldn't use it before applying a coating as you want as bare of a panel as possible for coating. So I'd just stick with this for customers who prefer waxes or sealants.
@@attention2detailswchelsea Thats what i would think too not to use on ceramic although the lady over at superior said it would be safe to use. However, us detailers know more I believe. Im curious why its not recommended in foam cannon beside the obvious reason that it doesn't foam. I'm just thinking of ways to be more efficient as a detailer ya know?
Heyy can i use tap water to dilute this product? I just started my auto Detailing business and was looking to get this since I live in Florida where is sunny most days
Hi Chelsea. Thank you for the excellent video. I've been learning a lot from your channel. After watching this channel, I ordered a gallon of Formula 4 Spray Wax and wondered if I can use it for any other purpose than just drying aid, like a quick detail spray. Thank you.
Hey, great video! I’m debating getting this….I have water spotting when drying which this would help, but I would like something that would also help preserve my current wax and make it last longer without buying a lot of products, does this stuff also apply some wax afterwards? And do you notice if it still beads water after drying?
I’m getting like marks on the glass that requires extra cleaning when using this, is it possible I did not dilute it enough? I’m not leaving it on too long maybe 15-20 seconds. In sunlight yes but rinse almost immediately. Ideas?
Great video! Do you think you could get another container (non foaming)to snap on to the pw and add the spray wax to it and basically rinse the car off with water that has the spray wax built in?
You can put it in your foam cannon and use it that way. It won't foam up obviously, but it will distribute the product onto the paint and then you can just rinse it off by turning the knob on your cannon to spray just water. :)
No. This isnt a water spot remover, it helps prevent them when washing. To remove them I'd recommend first a acid free treatment like Mckees 37 Fast Water Spot Remover. If that doesnt work you might need a acid water spot remover like WSP from Undrdog
Hey hello i have a question what would happen if a apply this wax after wash my car and I don’t rinse off the product and I start the drying process, thanks
If you’re prepping a vehicle for a nice sealant, and you use this to dry the vehicle. Will it get in the way of the sealant to properly bond with the paint or will a quick paint prep wide down remove this chemical so that the sealant can bond straight to the paint ?
It shouldn't affect your sealant whatsoever especially if you do a paint prep before your lsp. I was polishing this after drying so not too concerned about anything interfering with my lsp. I wouldn't use it if your applying a coating though but for waxes and sealants it should be fine.
How about shooting product on quickly in same dilution as in bottle but from your foam cannon to dwell all over exterior surface then swap heads and just come back around to rinse off with water only?
My initial thought is that the wash might take all the product off depending on what type of soap you use. Another problem is that the product might not bond very well to the actual paint surface due to the layer of dirt/grime layered over the surface of the paint. However if you have already tried this let me know how it went.
1:10 better than the 4:1 it recommends on the gallon? I tried this for the first time today as a drying aid. It worked great 4:1 but 10:1 sounds mych more cost effective
