I used to be pro-abortion. I was ignorant for sure, but it did not occur to me to do any research because I thought I already knew everything I needed to know.
At the beginning, unique DNA is present. At 12-19 weeks, unique fingerprints fully form (not even identical twins share this). Not one aborted baby had a day in court, no appeals permitted. Their DNA and fingerprints never entered into evidence. ... Innocent little human lives intentionally and mercilessly ended, how many thousands of times every day in our world?
Is this a satisfactory proof, Catholic Answers? Generally, all cells have the complete information necessary for a human being, both gametes and somatic cells. The genetic material is complete, though limited via gene expression controls. In other words, the information is present, but only some of the code is activated. A zygote is the only cell where the information is activated as to the development of an entire human organism, rather than the production of a single tissue. A human being, a human person, is a WHOLE comprised of a multicellular composite of living parts “cells” which are known as PARTS. Since, as proven above, a zygote is the only cell genetically ordered to the production of a human WHOLE, we can consider the zygote to be a WHOLE in itself. As it is a WHOLE in intrinsic actualization of the emergent properties known to a human whole (arms, legs, consciousness). A zygote is not a PART but a whole that generated its own PARTS. Furthermore, it is not a potential WHOLE, as we see the actualization of a human WHOLE continues well beyond birth. This argument assumes, philosophically, that BEING is the definition of a human person, rather than “possessing consciousness”. And a human WHOLE begins to “be” (grow, develop, homeostasis) at conception. Is there any literature that can improve my understanding of the personhood of a zygote, if my proofs are weak? Thank you for reading. God bless
No, it is not a person at all, inside a mother can the mother decide to have or not to have a baby is inside of a person. People and science call a fetus without the mother is just a fusion, living because the mother.
Preach the gospel the world needs right now omg u have a platform to reach millions of viewers yet ur topics of discussion r sooo shallow use ur platform to bring people to christ we r living in the apocalypse days the world needs the gospel the preachings of the holy spirit sanctification not this omg
So if a baby is born choking on its umbilical cord and hasn't breathed air through his lungs yet, can I stab him in the head? That's pretty silly. Embryos still take in and filter oxygen from the very early stages of development, just not with their lungs.
Fetus in Latin means little child.
I did not know that. Thank you for sharing.
You are doing wonderful work all you at Catholic Answers!
It bothers me how people can be so ignorant.
The most insidious lies are the ones they tell themselves
You used the right word

Sadly I don't think most people can understand the virtue and wisdom of that, even religious ones (referring to your last quote).

People will justify abortion by arguing that fetus it is not living thing.
If a baby is just left on it's own without parent support it will die, so a baby is just as dependent on it's mom than a fetus.
