Ce sont tous des danseurs et de haut niveau. Ils sont tous sur une scène où il faut se faire sa place sans déranger son voisin et la musique est rapide. L’ effort est conséquent. Tous les sens sont en alerte. La prise de risque est totale et il faut garder le rythme pendant plus de huit minutes avec des difficultés techniques qui s’ enchaînent toutes les secondes. Bravo, ils ont tenu la distance et relevé le défi qui était énorme. Vous êtes tous très performants, des athlètes de haut niveau. Résistants au stress. Et surtout, vous aimez la danse, la musique, votre métier. Bravo . Vous êtes des anges au service de la beauté.
Лучше, чем в Большом. Нагахиса лучше всех въехала в Баланчина, парни в целом молодцы. Темп бы чуть быстрее, но и так все довольно быстро выдохлись. В общем, ОК. Спасибо.

My favorite Balanchine ballet. The company handled it well, even with some of the dancers falling out of their pirouettes. Accents & attack were lacking, but overall, a pleasure to watch.
Yikes . . . that was fast and several dancers struggled. Symphony in C is extremely demanding. I agree that the Bolshoi does it better, or at least the video I’ve watched with Alexandrova and Zakarova is very good. I love seeing Ionova, but the pace was challenging. Also good to see Khiteeva back there as one of the soloists. This was almost 2 years ago so they’ve improved since then. Thank you so much for posting! This was a delight to watch. ❤
Александрова и Захарова примы и танцуют, как примы, а здесь танцует молодежь. Самая старшая Батоева. Очень люблю Ионову, но этот балет пока сложен для нее. Больше всех понравились Мей Нагахиса и Мария Ильюшкина.
I wish this showed the full ballet. I just watched the full version from 1973 with New York City Ballet and thought these dancers were much sharper and better that those in NYCB . Also the costumes are much better.
i like the karinska costumes :) i do often wonder if balanchine would prefer present-day dancers in his ballets or if he preferred them the way they look in the videos. he did train the dancers after all, but in the end one can never really know. i also think the dancers in the older video have more of an emotional connection to the ballet rather than seeing it as a marathon of steps and have a more charming presentation, but that is just subjective sentimentalism on my part :)
замечательное аыступление, НО как неизящно выглядят стопы балерин, особенно заметно у Нагахисы, впечатление, что ласты надела. Никакая техника не спасает.

So demanding…I only saw a few tiny flaws not worth mentioning. I thought they did very well, especially May and Stepin. Bravo!
