Someone just donated $10,000. I'm going to keep watching this project because I kept thinking about what a real life octane would be like, and now someone is finally making it real, LETS GO!
If you're looking for a good motorcycle engine, I highly advise one out of the mid 2000's Japanese 1000's models. Something like an 05 GSX-R 1000 or an R1. They're super cheap to pick up used, and can put up around 150-200 horsepower depending on what you get. Good Luck! Can't wait to see how this thing turns out. :)
This is genuinely the best gaming community that exists. First the custom map makers, then 3d art renders, then the rlbot community, now this. Truly the greatest minds and talent all passionate about one game. Can’t wait to see where we go next
i feel like a honda I4 engine would be better since it would be easier to fit because its more compact and the power you could get off of it would be good for the chassis
I think the Octane should sound more like a 4 banger. If there's ever an exact Dominus recreation (already has a lot in common with older muscle cars), then a louder V8 would be great.
@@ProjectOctaneRL maybe a K20 or K24 They are decently cheap, light and have a ton of power potential but would work great stock for such a light vehicle I might’ve missed it in the video but do you have an estimate to how heavy it will be?

I would almost say use a 4 stroke snowmobile engine, it would be a bit more complex because they usually use snow to cool them but the torque on a snowmobile engine is insane compared to a motorcycle

Yes, it is amazing what he’s doing, but safety should never take a “backseat” to progress (all puns intended). On a side note, good to see you back!
OEM wheels would be awesome but impossible to pull off, cristianos would be a worthy second option and could easily be done as a hubcap. i wonder what color Matt will go with
I don’t wanna sound dumb but why would the oem wheels be impossible to pull off? Is it cause the way the spokes are? Like not enough support? Idunno im not sure
@@bluntboialex3612 It wouldn’t be feasible to make your own rims, measurements have to be extremely precise.
