࿄GONGZA NYE࿄

Gongza Nye is in Toedtsho gewog under Trashiyangtse Dzongkhag.
It is about 3 hours walk from Yalang bridge, 3 hours downhill walk from Jangchu village and 1 hour from Melongkhar bridge by the riverside.
Gongza Nye is impressively located at 3135ft next to Gongrichu.
Locals believes that Guru Rinpoche was offered tea (Ja) while subduing a demon in this area at Noon (Gung) so called "Gung Ja".
There is a small temple built at an overhanging rock. There are numerous relics like a sacred treasure chest, shoe of Guru Rinpoche and devil's egg.
Many sacred places are submerged in summer, so one have to plan during winter and spring season when the weather will be pleasant and all other sacred places are visible from the river.
One can also plan along with the visit sacred Omba Nye from Tsenkharla and walk down to Gonza Nye from Jangphu village.
