This show taught me many things , I watched this anime when I was 16 years old. I am now 25. Just got done watching it again. I still remember this anime vividly everyday. For some reason, I wake up everyday and I want to be like Onizuka. You can say he is my Idol. He may not exist but this character exist for me. He taught me many things that life couldn't teach me. He taught me to honest and enjoy life regardless of the situation and face it head on. I cant say I've been doing what he taught but I am still trying to be a better person than I was each day. ( just my story) - Honestly going through school and I still currently am! I've failed but I kept trying and everytime I failed and kept trying. I get closer. "Not gonna lie during my years of school, when I have a fun teacher, I always look forward to that teacher and the class because it was soo fun. It kept me looking forward from going to school" Sadly , it was not all years.... it is rare to have a class that you can enjoy that makes you want to go to school, but when you do it is amazingly fun. :D " Its been a while and I havent got that feeling. :D Of course I got fun classes in college too. Being a great teacher and helping all your students that profoundly isn't as easy as this anime makes it seem. Humans aren't that convenient. Don't get me wrong, it's great to be motivated to do so from this anime, and to want to be a great teacher such as the GTO. But I do hope if you really really strongly dream to be a teacher, to avoid being delusional and expect it to go like the anime. I'm a student myself btw.

I'm in a similar case. Watched 25 episodes so far, and it's just such a great Journey. Someone said him leaving the class at last of the song is him In his 40s remembering his 1st Batch of students, and that alone leaves me so Full of emotions just thinking about it.

I love GTO so much, such a beautiful story that touches all generations. However, sometimes I feel that if GTO had been made 10 to 15 years later, it could have been even better. Like some character's ARC could have been even deeper, as it is the case in many animes today. Anyway, GTO is still gold for me and my childhood, and that doesn't stop me from watching it over and over again when I find the time to do so :)

In my school district online clases were completely optional and many people gratuaded without attending classes, and as you can imagine, teachers still had to work and grade and everything.
School really sucked this year, I pretty much gave up School because of all of my Assignments piling up on me. I barely went to join my meet. I feel bad for my Teachers because it was basically my fault I failed this year, my first year in Highschool man! I pretty much gave up and wanted to retry next year. Hope it goes better. Summer Break is Tomorrow for me, thanks Onizuka and thanks Kamina for helping me stay strong.
