my mom makes the best tea when someone is sick, it has onion, ginger, lemon, honey, and maybe something else. but i like it cause it works like a charm if all else fails.
I make a raw local honey, sliced lemon and crushed ginger syrup every year and drink that as a tea when I get sick. Or a spoon for a cough. It’s highly effective for hydration and feeling better.

I just got over having COVID-19 a few days ago, as two weeks ago, half of the other patients and nurses in my dialysis center called off. I knew it was only a matter of time until I too got sick, and that's what happened last week. If you recorded this while actually being sick, Pebble, I really hope you feel better! Drink some mint tea with a teaspoon of honey, if you can. And if you have it, Mucinex. (Side note: I would have sent this comment sooner, but usually "sick brain" means "forgetful brain" in my case. 😅)
This reminds me of when I was a Covid tester, and we had someone driver their half-conscious friend to get tested. I mean, guy had blood in his nose and sounded like he had consumption and shit. Wasn't even talking to me. So I swabbed, ran the tests - negative for Covid and the Flu, but I still went out to their truck, "I'm not a doctor or anything, just barely an EMT, but I'd take him to the doctor cus uh ... He doesn't look all that good?" "Well we're going over the border to go to the casino." "With full honesty I don't think they're going to let you over the border even with the negative test but good luck?"
