What a hunt ! 2015 Malta coins are keepers for sure, as the mintage is just over 1 million. And the 2011 Cyprus coin, what a find !

@@MegaNeophytos I know, but commemorative coins are not the only coins that you can look for. Low and very low minted coins are also very nice finds, sometimes better than commemorative coins.

When i was young I collected a lot of euro coins with my grandma and brother. We all have a collection of al the coins from 0.01 to 2 euro from al the eu countries. Also a good amount of the ‘rare’ euros. Nice memories from my youth. 😊

as a european from italy (venice), the Maltese euro are the most rarest euro in EU you can found it only in Malta or sicily and is famous for the cross.

Hello pal. Some nice finds there. I'm a silver a gold stacker but I've recently been looking at €2 coins. I'm from Dublin. I sometimes find it difficult to get quantities of €2 coins but I always withdraw a part of my wages in the coins in question. I already have a channel showing silver and gold coins but I'm a good distance from starting a channel about the €2. I just don't know enough about them. Watching your videos is helping a lot. There's some channels who won't even talk you through what they find. So you've definitely got a sub from me. Sláinte.

I have both the German and the French version of the 30 years anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall, and they are similar in design but have differences, not only the F and D but the lettering on the left are different too.

Thanks from America for the video. I hadn't been to Europe since 2013 but I see coins older than that year, so I will go thru my collection and Wikipedia to see if I have any commemoratives Euros! Do you collect our(USA) wide variety of quarters or Presidential Dollar Coins?
I do have some of the US Quarters, some of the state and national parks that I gathered while on holiday there.... And while living in Canada 😅
I like the state Quarter Dollar coins. Have 90 of these (from both mints P and S). So still need 10 to complete it...

I just like to collect, largely not worth more than their face value
@@kalashblanc7355 some are worth more but most of them just for collectors. For exsample a 2€ Grace Kelly is a "normal" 2€ and is worth betweeen 3000-5000€. I got the asterix 2€ and its worth about 25€ so some are worth a bit but most of them not.
What bank do you get the rolls from? I found out recently but also that you get charged 20 cents per roll?

I use to have problems back in the early days of doing this.....banks prefer keep coins for businesses who might need it and have an account with them.
I essentially now have a business account and pay the fees with it, just to make sure I can get coins!!!! lol

Yes, I am from Ireland. We don't seem to get many Slovenian coins here in Ireland unfortunately. I don't come across the regular €2 very often and only have found a few commemorative coins from there. I am still missing quite a few coins from there.

Does the rare ones cost more than a 2 euro or its just for collection?
I enjoyed this, I collect pre-decimal and decimal Irish coins, by chance one year in Belves France I was given a €10.00 euro (90% silver) in my change at the post office, I still have it.

On the greek coins. The Suomo ones are minted in the same numbers as the ones without the S (something like 37million pcs)
The spain and french ones are smaller denominations, but they actually carry some value in BUC.

I recently found a completely golden 2€ coin with a French “70 ans 18 Appel juin” back print from 2010. Do you know anything about these golden 2€ coins? Does it have any worth?
Some people but a "gold" plating on coins for fun or to sell them on as a novelty. Doesn't have much more value than a €2 coin, just nice to come across as an oddity

My question is about the 2002 greek star s 2 euro, I keep coming across them and keeping them after researching their prices.
Are they really worth the prices that are online?

That whole Greek €2 with the S in the star is a big scam on ebay. There are 70,000,000 of those coins, no reason it should be selling for ridiculous prices. It is just scammers preying on people.
And same question about all other coins for example i have seen online they sell 10 cent 2003 A with some feller in 12 stars for 3.9 almoust four milion euro???So you say nithin worth,and what anout other coins???? Pls reply i colect coins only few days and get interested after i found some special fir example owl greece 1 euro 2002 and s in star i found price on net 32.644, euro true value or not??

I guess commemoratives are good to keep, you can get some nice ones in Greece and Cyprus..... Plus coins from the micro-states if you are lucky to find them 😅

I don't know any website.... I just know not to trust for prices or values
I tend to use Ucoin for a value indication, although a decent amount of coins seem to be overvalued. Generally I've found that if you found the coin in circulation its worth 2 to 2.50 euro's. Assuming (Based on your name) that you're finnish, and the coins you found are finnish. They tend to be worth a little more
Hi in your opinion how much could be worth a 2 euro of Andorra 2015, not in shiny conditions? The mintage is around 235.000

So I am no expert in valuing coins, but a with a little bit of research I'd guess maybe 3 to 4 euro?????
I checked Numista.com and there is actually 1,072,400 of those coins minted (one of the higher numbers for Andorra). But Andorra is a highly sought country for coins so if you put it one ebay, it depends how much people bid for it.
In my opinion, anything 2 euro to 4 euro might be a fair value.

I live in France I have some of them ! I noticed you can obtain nice ones in big ski stations bars there are a lot of tourists from Europe there. Also there are Spanish Juan Carlos 1999 rare coins with bigger stars (70-100 000) maybe you have some of them !
France must get a good mix of euro coins with all those tourists!!!!

Quite possible. EURik is a good app to see all the available euro coins and how many of them were made.

Hey there! Greetings from Germany,and I just find an interesting situation that coins from Irish, Germany and France are in large percentages. I'm quite curious about the reason why this situation happens and what will in other countries looks like!
I guess the coins just travel with people going all over the continent. It has been 19 years since the Euro entered circulation in many countries - plenty of time for coins to mix between different countries!!!!
Another way coins have mixed around the continent is countries trading coins with each other. Ireland has swapped 1 cent and 2 cent coins for 2 euro coins with Portugal, we have also sent these coins to the Baltic countries as well - we get a lot of Lithuanian 50 cent coins here!!!!
In Ireland, we get a lot of German, French, Italian and Spainish coins. We are lucky we have no neighbours, so we do not get dominated my coins from one particular country.
I noticed a paucity of Portuguese commemoratives, so that's exciting news for Irish collectors, thanks for that info

Now comes the big bummer: I recently found out that there are 5 versions of every German commemorative coin, marked by the capital letters A, D, F, G and J somewhere on it. So if you really want to have a full set you'll have to collect all of them. Thankfully I do work at a bank. So it's easier for me to get them. ;-)

Generally coins from Andorra, Monaco, San Marino and the Vatican are great finds. Have a look through the EURik app, it has all the info on all the euro coins and their mintage figures, you might recognise some you have come across

Just from my bank. Getting coins though depends on the bank and the staff in the bank... They can be reluctant to give them out at times if you are not a business

Pretty much, it is just money from my bank account that I ask to withdraw in coins rather than banknotes
I have the greek with an S on the star, and one without the S!
it's not rare the rarest of 2 euro greek coins are Europe with the Taurus of 2011 ( only 15000 exist so super rare ) and the one with the helmet of Sparta ( the battle of thermopiles )

I guess at the start of my coin collecting I always tried to pay more using cash to get change, built up a lot of my national coin collection that way..... Plus the odd trip to a bank for a couple of bags of €1 coins doesn't harm 😅
Would coins from latvia or lithuania count as a bit rare because I really really really see them in Germany but maybe in their own country there are pretty common ?
Well I rarely see Latvian coins in Ireland so they would class as rare to me..... But would be a completely different story in Latvia 😅
I am from Slovenia...but what I really like are ours 3 EUR coins. They are also bigger than 2 EUR coins. But you can only use it in slovenian stores.
