My computer science teacher is apparently one of the best, her along with your videos will hopefully really boost my grade. Thanks, you have a new sub.
Hi, I know I comment a lot but my exam is 4 days away and I need some advice. My teacher makes the topic about Ethical and Environmental issues out to be like some huge topic that we need to spend loads of time revising for. However, I really struggle with networks. I haven't really revised either of these topics much yet (I've revised most other things) but I want to know do you thing I should spend loads of time on networks or focus more on the Ethical and Environmental issues? Personally, I'm leaning towards focusing on networks as the specimen paper seemed to have loads on it and little to nothing on the Ethical and Environmental side of things.
You have time to revise everything (4 days will seem like a luxury this time next week!), but personally I'd focus on networks, as you can't wing that as much. You have to understand the concepts, whereas the ethics/legal/environmental Qs are mostly application based, where you have to give opinions. They do tend to be longer mark questions though, and there are still some terms you need to know, but that won't take too long to cover
Computer Science Tutor Hi, i would just like to say I really appreciate your work, my exam is tommorw and I was so stressed out by it. Fortunately I found your videos and they have simplified everything and now I have confidence for the exam... Thank you so so much ! YOU DESERVE MORE RECOGNITION !!!
A question, sir: your playlist is titled 'OCR A level Computer Science' but the content more closely matches that of GCSE. Is there a separate GCSE playlist or are both included in this one?
Mitchel Geddes, for sure there are going to be very low grade boundaries. There aren't many qualified computer science teachers (I didn't have one, so that's why I find this Chanel so useful), and we don't have the NEA anymore. On top of that this subject isn't easy, therefore the grades boundaries will be low, in my opinion. And to be honest, I hope they are low cause otherwise I'm not passing.
Just thought I should point out some mistakes with this video... For performance the specification has this: Explain the effect of the following on the performance of the CPU: • clock speed • number of processor cores • cache size • cache type why are you talking about latency, bandwidth and error rate? Furthermore the specification requires knowledge of star and bus topologies, not Peer to peer.
I'm not quite sure what you mean about not mentioning hardware performance here, it's a bit of a non sequitur because that's a different topic and it's covered by another video. Same applies for the topologies, I have videos that cover those both. For peer-to-peer, I'm not sure what spec you're following but I try to make these videos as general as possible so it's possible your course is one of the few that doesn't cover the two network models
@@MrBrownCS I was pointing out the fact that at 4:47 you mention 3 aspects of performance, none of which are in the AQA gcse specification, despite the fact that they are in a playlist for AQA GCSE videos. I wasn't saying that you hadn't fully covered the topics of topolgies, rather that you had mentioned aspects of them not in the AQA specification
@@eliabenson4201 these videos aren't 100% specific since there's so much overlap between exam boards. this vid is also on the ocr playlist and yes there are a few pieces that aren't on our spec (eg PANs) but its still a bit of extra useful knowledge and doesnt make much of a difference
Thanks mate. Your voice really helps me keep the info as opposed to the monotonous older people who bore me half to death. Thanks!
😂
🤣🤣
fr i sleep on those videos
This channel doesn`t get the recognition it deserves.
you're doing god's work here my dude

I've never even heard of a PAN before and I have my exam later. Thanks babes.
Why don't you just smack his ass?
babes?
you are a life saver as you have the only cs series for as and a level, great work man!

I am in year 9 and I took my computer science GCSE early and this definitely helped thanks
What'd you get?
Feel old yet?
@@spphinx welp im defo older now lmao. studying software engineering at university
Good to hear ur still on the route
I just wanted to thank you for that B in Computer Science GCSE! Although it's late!
+Pl0x Ayuda not at all, I’m really pleased to hear that 😀
Anyone else got their exam tomorrow?
no
Yes, how are you feeling?
Joe Holmes I feel ok for most exam, but I'm nervous about computing.
Haha, I suggest just trying to cram everything in. Going through these videos/ books. Maybe writing notes on the spec?
me im shook
Does this particular topic covers the new Cambridge 9618 syllabus?
I thought i was late to start studying but then these dudes are studying day before exam
what about it lmao
Thank you. Good video, helped me understand networks more...
thank you thus has been great for a crash course revision
is bandwidth shared only across wireless networks? or is it shared for wired too?
Thank you !
very helpful content...thank you...

Computer Science Tutor ok thank u
how come this context does not matchup with the ocr cambridge revision books
What doesn't match? Please don't trust the textbooks too much!

ye our teacher got injured in october and had substitutes ever since and our skl spent so much time on coursework
im gambling on grade boundaries too
Nu ma asteptam sa gasesc pe cineva roman si aici=))))
Buna Cosmin=)))
Bafta azi :)
thats deep then, because from what i seen most people found the first paper easy, so the boundaries are likely to be high
I am interest, thank for million
3 hours left till exam, learning it now. I should be fine.....
Why would the bandwidth be greater with wireless? Shouldn't it be better with ethernet?
same qs
Thank you man
Can you make a video for NEA help?
+Lelouch Vi Britannia I’m not sure, what videos would be helpful?
Lelouch Vi Britannia well u defo won't be needing that now whether u r in year 10 or 11!😂😂😂
is this loss?
Exam tomorrow anyone?

More like exam in an hour
please upload for paper 3 and 4 ......

last minute revision gang where you at
yep

I am sorry but you are telling me one thing; the textbook is telling me another; the CGP revision guide is telling another. I feel like crying...
What's not matching up? Textbooks + CGP seem to include whatever they want so you have to be a bit careful
Computer Science Tutor bus topology and star. Is that different from client to server and peer to peer
