Oh Snap!!!!!! Bobby-Ross Avila!?!?! I haven't heard this song in years. This was my jam back at Mission Bay High (in San Diego). He actually performed at my school with his brothers back in the day. I loved this song, and this song always makes me think of this chick named Dijonette...memories.
I was 19 years old, in the us army, and in the best shape of my life when I first heard this song. I was dating what I thought was the most beautiful girl ever - I will never forget those feelings of excitement, anxiety, worry, and sadness I had when I was with her - We didn't work out but I'm thankful for those memories. This song takes me back to that happy time.
Jose Sabalsa I know right. i'm from Vallejo. i was a jr in high school when this song came out. i played this everyday after school. i'm black but i have an appreciation for latino artist. ❤
Fresno, California early 90's hit. This one hit wonder came to my sisters high school and did a concert. And he ended up winning a grammy in his career.
This is def, the kind of song you just can't get out of your head no matter how hard you try! LOOOOVE it so much!!! Like wine it truly gets better with time!
Maaaaaan, Preary Junior high in Gardena, CA....After school dance, and you were hugged up like muhfugga on the gym floor dancing to this....Thanks for taking me back to my childhood with this!
Reminds me of hot summers in San Jose spending all day at great America when they had freestyle concerts there.i saw him there when he performed too, he walked right past me n my friend after the show.
holy shit!! I've been trying to look for this song for years. the last time i heard it was in the 5th grade. this song reminds me of my hardest crush ever. her name was Julie. damn i'm surprised i still remember that now that i'm 30. lol
I was a huge fan of Bobby Ross Avila in high school! I wrote him a letter and he actually wrote back!! I was so juiced! Showed everyone at my school!! For some reason this song popped into my head today. Loved seeing the video! Brings me back!
Like some of the rest of you, the last time I saw this video was when it was first released. Been looking for it on here ever since. The last time I saw it was on Midnight Love or Video Vibrations on BET. Avila was not only on Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis' Perspective label, but also did some writing and production work for some of their artists right around the time this song was released.
Damn, i remember going to junior high with this guy and kickin it with his brother isaiah in high school mobbin around in his camry..lol memories glad the homies are still doing good!!
He's still around, He produced "confessions" from usher and "funk this" from chaka kahn (i don't know how to spell her name) he won two grammy's in 2007. awesome producer
Yeah, this was most definitely the shit... First heard it on "Video Vibrations" on BET, and "The Capitan" Paul Porter used to mispronounce his name whenever he intro'd it, because it was misspelled "Avilla" on the credits. So Capitan would say "Uh-vee-uh." Great song from 1993.....
