- I started my loc journey on January 22 2020 and on January 22, 2022, it marked 2 years since I started! This visual journey is filled with videos and photos all the way from day 1 to year 2. I think now my locs are fully mature and now it is all about growth in terms of length. Looking back at the videos, the first year was mostly about growth in terms of volume and my hair actually locking up. And in my second year, I started seeing some maturity in the way my locs were formed.

Welcome to the loc club 🎉🎉🎊🎊 I'm so excited for you!! I now enjoy retwisting my own hair at least with the water bases gel that I use (olive oil twist & loc gel). I didn't enjoy the retwist I got using wax because it created sooooo much build up and made my hair feel so greasy and heavy 😭😭 I had to wash it like 3 or 4 times more than I usually do, just to get the wax out. The crotchet was Lowkey painful but I really loved how it made my locs look so neat 😍 It really brought my locs together properly and made all the loose ends and frizzy loose hair finally have a place to be. I heard crotchet is good at least once or twice a year but not recommended for every retwist because it can break your hair over time.

How Did You Get Them Thicker ?
They gradually got thicker and more mature overtime. But keeping them moisturized with water is always good. 😊
