I started doing drugs since my teenage. Got addicted to Crack for over 23 years. Crack addiction actually destroyed my life. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

I wish they were readily available in my place. Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband. He is 59 & has so many mental health issues plus probable CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac. He's constantly talking about killing someone. He's violent. Anyone reading this Familiar w/ BPD know if it is common for an obsession with violence.

I was horrifically depressed since childhood. It was relentless. I assumed it would ultimately end me somehow. About twelve years ago I randomly accepted the offer from a friend of a few doses of mushrooms. I did them two consecutive nights alone. First night was pretty mild. The second night? Wow. I saw my depression from every angle, realized much. Next day: depression totally gone. Never came back, never coming back. It's like it's a forest far away I can remember, and could probably find again with enough effort, but it has zero impact on anything in my life or mind. They honestly saved my life and improved it immensely. I never did them again, either. I wish there was a good, organized way to administer them to people who would benefit from them.

As a man who used to struggle with depression these are the most helpful things I can think of:
-Take Risks, don't let the fear of failure stop you from trying something new or something great
-Do things that genuinely scare you or that you're afraid of (Even little things like climbing onto a roof and helping to put up Christmas lights if you're afraid of heights or saying something to the cute cashier girl other than "hi" and "thanks")
-Pursue an ambitious goal, one that a lot of people don't believe you can achieve (It doesn't even matter if you fail this because no matter what the pursuit of an ambitious goal will make you a better person and give you fulfillment) With that being said, do your best to succeed
-Have a passion, basically this means to find a hobby that you enjoy so much that you will spend hours and hours getting better at it
-Study history, pick a role model, and then analyze the traits of your role model and list the reasons why you admire them. Then start to emulate these traits in your everyday life and eventually you will become your own role model.
-Don't ever quit something just because it's hard (You can quit a crappy job if it's not the right fit for you, but never quit solely based on the fact that something is difficult). Embrace challenges and look for opportunities to improve yourself mentally, physically, and spiritually.
-Never put yourself down. Try not to think negative things about yourself and especially never say them out loud. You will think more highly of yourself when you say positive things about yourself, at the very least avoid putting yourself down on purpose.
-Live purposefully. Have a direction for your life and if you don't already have one, make one. Decide what's most important to you and live accordingly. If you have a family or even a single loved one, your first priority (other than serving God if you're religious) should be to provide for them, to protect them, and to help them become the best version of themselves
-Develop Integrity. I can't even explain how much this increases your self-repsect. Be honest, be trustworthy, don't cheat (unless you're in a street fight) and live with honor.
-Find a hobby that you're really passionate about and strive to become a master at it
-Finally, probably the most important thing I can say is to think less about yourself. Think less about yourself but not less of yourself. In other words, think about other people before you think about yourself, especially your family and loved ones. If you're focused on helping them with their problems I can promise you that your problems will become less important and less troublesome. Look for opportunities to help others and make them feel better about themselves. Nothing lifts you out of depression better than helping someone out of theirs.
I hope this helps. I realize that some people are genetically predisposed to having a harder time with depression, but I believe that there's nothing you can't overcome with a strong mindset. In addition, I strongly believe that going through depression and having such terrible lows actually gives you the capacity to feel even greater happiness and joy. The reason I say this is because when you feel genuine joy after being depressed for so long you can't help but feel grateful.
The beauty of life is that we are meant to experience the full range of human emotions, from happiness to anger to jealousy to despair to joy. We couldn't feel genuine happiness if we never knew what it was like to be sad. If I could talk to whoever is reading this face-to-face, what I would say to you would be simple: don't quit. A quote from Winston Churchill kept me going in times when I thought I had nothing left, he said: "If you're going through Hell, keep going."
Everything in life can be and is meant to be an opportunity to make yourself better, and depression is no exception. Keep fighting, all of you are descended from warriors no matter what culture or country you are from. You wouldn't be here today if it weren't for the conquering spirit of your ancestors. Live a life that would make them proud. While most of us will not fight in physical wars, no one is exempt from the battlefield of life. Depression can be a battle every single day, every single second in some cases. Keep fighting, it will only get better. And the more you fight, the more you will gain respect for yourself. I've conquered my depression. Every now and then it will start to try and creep back into my mind but I don't let it. I destroy those feelings with action. I go lift weights, I go running, I listen to metal music, whatever it takes for me to regain my confidence.
You can conquer depression, no matter how severe it is. That doesn't mean you'll never have days where you feel down, but it does mean that you'll have the strength to push through and do what you need to do as a man regardless of how you're feeling. Stay strong, stay hard, and fight like dragons 🐉 You're going to be very glad you did.

People are very sick but clever at what they do in order to achieve their devious goals.

A high quality Ashwagandha dail GABA y might help you alot without some of the serious side effects / dangers other anti-anxiety meds. It lowers cortisol naturally without making you feel altered and gives a feeling of well-being. Kava is good for acute attacks but can effect liver so consult a physician. Other notable mentions would be: holy Basil , lemon balm, super B vit. Complex, Mushrooms like Lion mane or reishi mushroom daily. CBD with high cannabinoid factor or not THC can be great. Nopal catcaus/tumric/ black pepper for inflammation . Hope this helps you

A man falls into a deep hole. He is screaming for help. Passerby comes along and offers help. He throws a rope down but the rope breaks on the way up. Passerby leaves unable to help. Another person comes along and lowers a makeshift ladder. The rungs break on the way up and he leaves with the person still helpless in the hole. A third person hears cries for help and comes to aid. The man in the hole asks for help and the passerby says sure, I will help. So he jumps inside the hole with the trapped man. The trapped man asks why did you jump in the hole. He replies, "because I've been here before and I know the way out."
If you need help, some of the best medicine is talking to someone that understands and has fought their own battles. It's not the end, just a new beginning. We all need to hear these talks to show there is help and hope.

i still fall into depression but heres some things that have helped me alot... please dont brush over them or dismiss them simply because they sound so cliche...
1 - exercise, seriously, run every day, gym everyday. People dont listen to this because it sounds too easy or simple.
2- diet, again people dismiss this because they think oh man how bad can eating slightly bad food be for your mental health. A LOT. i spiral down fast in to deep pits of anxiety and depression when i eat bad food, aka junk food
      3 - dont eat sugar
4- do NOT for the love of god drink alcohol. This is why you become depressed in the first place (for those drinkers i mean)
5 - dopamine addiction, stop dopamine addictions, video games being the most obvious.

I can relate stress and anger often lead me to having no enjoyment in anything, my partner, my kids hell even goals I had felt nothing to me. I began feeling pains in my chest and frequent anxiety attacks to a point I’d just break down. I’d experience insomnia and went and got medicated but quickly stopped taking those due to the suicidal thoughts I had. Went and got ECG’s and X-rays of my heart because I believed something was wrong, I’d focus on my heartbeat to a point it drove me insane I couldn’t stand being in my own body. My blood pressure was high from stress and body always felt hot. In the end it was when life got too overwhelming and I was too inside my own head believing I could control everything is when I knew I couldn’t keep it up. I still hold a lot of anger which I’m focusing on preventing for the sake of the my family but it’s a tough journey and something after 25 years I’d thought Id never go through. Funny how the human brain works but one morning you finally just snap out of it and focus on the present like Tyson says.

@@Islam_is_the_truth.4 Evangelical Christians are saying precisely the same thing about the Bible. And the over 130,000 different denominations are all saying the same thing about their particular denomination. Islam isn't a whole lot different, albeit a considerably smaller number of denominations and sects. The point being is that everybody is calling anybody who will listen to their religion because they wholeheartedly believe that they have the correct religion that provides the most appropriate answers to the human condition. As human beings, however, we gaze through our own lenses and therefore see solutions in accordance to those lenses. We're all naturally biased.
I have absolutely no doubt that religion can serve as a very good moral guide for certain people, and I also have no doubt that it can lead to devastation, chaos and the internal destruction of other human beings. I've lived long enough in this world to realise that there is no such thing as a 'one size fits all,' which leads me to respectfully disagree with your suggestion that the Quran could ever be a viable answer to depression and anxiety. It may work very well alongside professional counselling, psychotherapy or psychiatric care depending upon the person, but certainly not on it's own. I say precisely the same thing about the Bible, and any other sacred books that were written for a different time when the world experiences were entirely different to today.

I am 54 years old and suffer(ed) from anxiety, ocd, a personal disorder and depression, and I'm still here. It's incredibly difficult sometimes, but there are ok and even good moments as well. Mental health is a massive issue these days and I believe it's because people have abandoned spiritual health in favour of useless objects and self worship or idolising immoral practices. People value money and fame over loving relationships and building faith in God. I'm not surprised the world is literally going crazy, take a look out of the window and how people behave and treat one another. Celebs make sex tapes that children watch and they are praised and adored for it. The way humanity behaves is depressing enough, keep strong guys, Tysons story should give us all hope that tomorrow will be a better day.

I love this guy more and more every time he talks! I am 47 years old and Tyson Fury makes me tear up. He is only 33 and every bit a living legend. He made me start watching boxing again after totally switching to MMA for over a decade. I was a boxing fan before UFC existed, but I was always into martial arts more. Still when UFC first came out, I watched the first two and then lost interest because it wasn't organized and professional enough for me. I didn't like that there were no weight classes so I stayed with boxing till 2000 when a friend of mine convinced me o watch it at his house one night saying "no, no man, there's weight classes now, it's all organized" so I watched it and never looked back to boxing until the beef with Deontay and Tyson. Then I learned about Canelo Alvarez too, WOW! But Tyson Fury's name is gonna next to Muhammad Ali if he keeps headed in the direction he's going. Awesome human being.

As a guy he is honest and always speaks his mind, funny, a gentleman, one of the greatest boxers of all time, a good singer who has duetted with Robbie Williams on on one of his albums. The likes of Tyson Fury, Prince William, Marcus Threscothic, Frank Bruno,Robbie Williams and all celebrities opening up regarding mental health is taking the stigma away and helping others to understand the unbearable suffering people face. I wish him all the best in life and it will be a shame not to see him in the boxing ring but he has beaten the best during this era and very few boxers go through there career unbeaten.
