I'm a proud Trump supporter and while I did notice his comment, I didn't take it too personally as an anti-Trump statement but more of a statement about how divided we are as a nation over politics. Of course I wish he clarified his statement and there's a solid chance I'm making this assumption simply to keep myself from getting annoyed with Scott, but yeah let's just go with it being a comment on the broader scope of politics, Trump just happen to be on the other side of the city doing a rally at the same time so it was the obvious reference to make in that moment.

Makes sense and he did say rallies not rally so I think he was just saying in general.
