The 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport P530 First Edition Is A Sporty & Plush British SUV
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 26 มิ.ย. 2024
- As the best-selling vehicle in the #LandRover lineup, the redesigned #RangeRoverSport is a very important new model in the family. For 2023, the #RangeRoverSportP530 is the only trim in the family that also comes with the BMW-sourced 4.4L twin-turbo V8 making 523 HP. While the design may not look all that different from the previous model, this new #RangeRover may be smaller than the full-size model, but it doesn't give up much in luxury and capability.

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you had a great week! We apologize for the rain in this video, it was a rather rainy week when we had this vehicle and sadly, the day we filmed this was the "driest" day lol. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! We'll be posting our Integra Type S full review on Monday at 9am EST!
Sofyan we need to buy you an umbrella hat!

A minor correction: this V8 is not the same engine that is currently used in the M60i BMW models.
M60i BMW models use the latest BMW S68 which is a next generation of the S63.
And what under the hood of this RR Sport is the N63, specifically N63B44T3.
So basically BMW shared their older engine model instead of sharing the latest S68.
All are based on the same engine design and are just updates. This is not a totally new engine.
@@MercOne it’s a totally new engine as all the internals are 99% new. Almost No shared parts.
Based on and actually built are 2 different things.
@@RomanMakarov No it isn't. I've read the technical details. It isn't. Your comment on base on built doesn't even make sense.
I had the N63 in my 750Li. What a f-cking terrible engine. It burned through oil like the engine was on fire. I had the $12,000 repair work done free, paid for by BMW. Afterwards it burned just barely slightly less oil. Constant check engine lights.
By contrast, I've owned 3 Rover Sports. One V6 and two V8s. My current Rover has the 510 HP JLR Supercharged V8. I've never ever had any issues with those engines, and I purchased each of those Rovers used.
I'm confused as to why JLR went with the engine from BMW. I won't buy one with that engine. They should have partnered with Benz for their V8, or Toyota, or Nissan, or anybody other than BMW.
@@carycoller3140 i think you either strike a lemon or either not very well understanding about BMW's engines. Sure they tripped themselves sometimes because of early days of turbos, but as time goes on, their engines only gets more robust than previous ones. B58 engine is just too good to ignore, let alone the absolute brute of S58.
ya know, it's sad that range rover has notoriously bad reliability and weird issues, but damn do they make beautiful cars...
Why does blacking stuff out make it more luxurious? Yuck!
@@phatgringo2.0I don’t see how that makes it more luxurious not even sure how you came up with that…. But it makes it look more clean/stealthy I’m more than sure it comes without the black and in that case it’ll look more bland and boring
@@phatgringo2.0 I just like the lines and look of the car overall-the blackout is just a bonus imo.
@@chrismcintosh8790 People who drive blacked out cars are wannabe tough guys and look like morons.
It’s like they exist but they don’t… because of how unreliable they are.
Nice review keep up the good work Redline
I have to say, I haven’t seen another vehicle reviewer complete a review in the rain. Dedication!
This Range Rover looks great, but my only complaint would be that they didn’t blackout the exhaust also. The red looks amazing and great inside. I just wouldn’t buy it. But if it proved reliability in the future maybe.
Gostei da sua análise, foi bem abrangente abordando todos os aspectos desse modelo da Range Rover Sport, Parabéns.
I own a 2020 Velar P380 HSE R-Dynamic with 22 inch wheels and all black with rare accent on front bumper, hood and rear and black out package and rebadged. Only one oxygen sensor in 3 years covered by warranty. Was worried about reliability but so far it has been reliable.
All the comments about reliability are interesting. The people I know with the previous generation RR Sport haven't had any problems yet. Their main complaint is that regular maintenance is pricey, which it is. I'm waiting to see what happens once the warranty period is up on both of them.
Its an extremely complex car, and with greater complexity, comes great problems.
Facts I think they’re getting the kinks straightened out. I hope the n63 proves less issues for the sport, this new model is enticing.
It’s beautiful
He said "girth" always on his mind. Mine too! 😂
Rainbows and buggery?
great video this is my dream SUV.......love the jacket anyone have an idea where its from
I love range rover’s definitely my dream car I hope to own one someday always wanted a Land Rover
Nice looking machine
The Perfect vehicle! It has everything you need. 💪🏼
16:57 Is the sunshade broken? I guess this must be an early pre-production model.
It's a remarkable British SUV that oozes style and sophistication.
Indian, actually
Where are the tie-down hooks for the flatbed?
Fantastic review of an exceptional vehicle.
That is a beautiful automobile.
How do you compare the power of this to the Velar SV autobiography
A Land Rover vehicle with a BMW V8: What could go wrong??😩🤣
**tow truck accessory is optional. 😂
Good.
I absolutely LOVE the size and GIRTH of my brand new 2023 Range Rover HSV Sport V-8 SUV 🥰😂😂😂
Beautiful cars. I’ve been on the fence for buying a RR Sport but the reliability of RRs is a sticking point for me.
Probably going to get the 2024 Lexus GX550 when it comes out as my new daily. The GX550 has issues, especially with the interior but you cannot beat Lexus reliability.
I look at the RR in a year or two to see if the new BMW engines have helped with reliability.
Land Rover is in trouble with their sales so it’s going to be interesting how they sort through their poor sales. Maybe lower prices are in their future.
This is not the case anymore. Land Rover Range Rover has been profitable for 4 straight quarters. Their margins are projected to hit 8%. They are doing well
Charging $5K for the fake leather over the real deal is insane!😂
The overall vehicle looks mostly good, except the rear styling is wayy too rounded for my tastes.
Fake leather is better than real leather. Easier to clean, maintain and less prone to wear and discoloration
Superbe voiture
El Stinko Fromage.
This is a fantastic luxury suv if you have too much money, and would like to live life unpredictably. It may start, it may not, but that's why everyday will be interesting.
Just to clarity, suede is a leather/animal product. Alcantara is a brand name of its animal-free synthetic equivalent.
Anyway, I really appreciate the seal BMW places around the engine bay of its new cars. However, I don't notice any lining in the door pockets and I couldn't tell if their lined in with the faux leather. That seems like a pretty conspicuous oversight if its not there, especially of a car of this price range.
I also didn't notice a single USB port in the rear. Definitely a hard miss for any car these days. Finally, the camera view only takes up half the scree. I really wish the view was larger.
My 18k Accent has a USB port for rear passengers LOL
I've had my P400 SE Dynamic for about 1 month now and I absolutely love it!!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤
20 years ago if you told me vinyl seats (vegetarian leather aka plastic/petroleum) would be an upgrade, I would have spit out my caviar.
Any issues? I am interested in one.
Is it tighter space for range rover sport new generation ? Dont yes
Omg, I love this car this is my dream car but I would never waste. My money on this car is not reliable or dependable and has a poor resale value but the car looks beautiful. I currently driving a lexus and I think I would stick with Toyota they are the best.🙌
Personally,...where the "black piano plastic" and "carbon fiber look" was,...I think relatively dark grey natural wood inserts would have made this even more amazing looking.
But if I have more money than sin,.....I'd definitely consider this vehicle.
LR have now removed the hvac panel and drive mode dial and replaced it with a slab of piano black. Very weird design choice mid cycle
A definite negative in my book. Piano black is one of the worst car trends in auto history. Second only to haptic buttons.
Shoutout to the folks who will make the Service department happy this year or next year or ever 😂😂💵💵💵
Will you be reviewing the new Range Rover Sport SV once it becomes available?
Yes of course he will review it
Portland, JAMAICA in the Building!!!
I’m pretty sure is this engine is found in the older BMW M50I not the M60, which now has a full S Motorsport engine
Correct.
Yup. The M60i engine is also now a mild hybrid, this older engine isn’t.
Yup
All of these are long gone, it's even off their website now. For 2024 to get a V8 you gotta get a SV, which will also be hard to get.
Plan B. Shop elsewhere.
Can’t afford it.
I am not sure but I think this version is more reliable than the bigger one... or maybe... they are the same break down within a month vehicles... LOL
Yet, some fools spend 200K for a vehicle that will break and normal family homes use to sell for that price new. NOW it's a car with built in this will brak and cost you a arm and kidney if you should dare drive it like a daily drive and do over 1K miles within each month doing so. MUST BE NICE
I have had 5 Range Rovers... None have given me issues, sold at 100k, other than one...that started the problems... 2003 Range Rover... Awful thing. My 2010 L322 supercharged had a couple of small issues but then so have my wife's Mercedes and BMW's... The 'these always break' comments are typically people who have never owned one who has a friends cousin who had one that was always in the shop. 🤣 I hope people keep spreading around these comments so we can keep buying a 200k car for half price at 1 year old. 🤣🤣👍
"Size and girth of the big daddy Range Rover"?! Relax Sofyan lmao
How's it compare in size to the Velar? I found the Velar to be a bit too cramped for my liking.
Does your White Titleist Hat rub against the sunroof?
@@RLTtizME Sometimes yeah, why?
@@Yourleftismyright88 Just estimating your tool factor.
@@RLTtizME Don't get it? I don't put tools in my Velar??
@@Yourleftismyright88 You are the tool….Lance. You are the tool.
As a brit I can tell you exactly what this car will do... Break down. How my country can produce such gorgeous cars with zero reliability shames us😢

You xan get a rivian r1s for this price and would smoke this
From one turd….on to another turd.
Sofyan can you please review the Last Edtion 2022 infinit q60 red sport, 2023 Nissan Maxima Sr, 2023 Dodge Durango 392 Srt premium 😢😊❤❤??
And the 2023 Range Rover Svr and Evoqe
Ford Explorer is looking great nowadays 😂😂
M50i mate the M60i has got new engine mild hybrid
I’m surprised it didn’t fall apart during the video
Out of all the Range Rover family I like the Velar more. Kind of want one but I’ve heard some horror stories about reliability
If you care about reliability you shouldn’t even be commenting on this video 😂
No modern car is 100% reliable, they’re all built to be disposable so you keep re-purchasing, especially ev’s that are designed from start to be thrown away
And if you don't care about reliability you shouldn't be commenting on Toyota/Lexus you clown
This must be sarcasm..
Have you owned one? I have a 2019 sport and it’s been the most reliable vehicle I’ve ever owned
Maybe a slightly different story with the bmw engine?
isn't this the 4th generation though? you keep saying 3rd
First gen was 2005 (L320); Second gen was 2013 (L494). Third gen was 2022 (L461).
@@epbrown01 i would've thought 2018 to 2021 would be gen 3 but i just checked and it said face lift
Sure give a 5000 pound vehicle a 4.0L engine thats twin turbo instead of a bigger engine that can manage weight to power
Get it brand new DO NOT GET USED
Always try to get the “love” for this, but i prefer the velar’s shape, sexier than this squared share, even the evoque that is square looks great, maybe they should male an giant evoque 😝😝
Mechanics Fiancé 😂
You said British but it's actually Indian now
Center screen looks like a Tesla
What a fancy Ford Explorer.
Theres a huge misconception that European manufacturers underrate their products. This is incorrect. European manufacturers measurements are different than the US. They don't measure 0-60mph, they measure 0-100 km/h, which is closer to 62mph. Not much of a difference but if US journalists actually tested Euro vehicles using THEIR native measurements, you'll realize that they aren't really underrated at all, they're pretty close to the claimed values. Drag racers know, that 2 mph difference can be a few tenths of a second in a run.
And right after the run....European vehicles immediately break down.
“vegan leather” aka plastic made from oil
No matter how hard you try bmw driving experience beats Range Rover anytime

The worst-sounding Range Rover Sport V8 by far. Has anyone done any exhaust tunes to them yet?
A beautiful vehicle. But, I'll take the new Lexus GX550 for durability and reliability
No you wouldn’t. You’d get a hard plastic interior, sleepy performance and driving dynamics that makes you yawn

I didn't realize Range Rovers come in a color other black or white, ha. Literally, 99.9% of new and late model Rovers driven around here are just in those two colors and only black color for the rims. The whole blacked out/black on black or white on black is so common, it doesn't make any owner look special or cool anymore. Just rich.
This pos cost over 130k. Must be joking
Beautiful disaster 😅
This garbage rover comes with a brand new tow truck free from the British luxury brand.
One of the most unreliable vehicle on the planet. Luxury unreliable Sport SUV 😅

Just read that the Land Rover brand is in trouble..... Sales have been down for a while, it's just a matter of time before you will not see them in production anymore.
