Great first video! Love your plan to become a trainer. Wheelchair users need access to trainers who share experiences to help them train with shared experiences.
I know the feeling. I’ve had sepsis over 25 times (lost count at a certain point), most of them because of central lines and/or ports. I also have GP and malabsorption, but also have a kidney disease that makes me pee out to much potassium, phosphorus and other electrolytes (like magnesium, sodium, chloride and also proteins, glucose and amino acids). For now we are trying without access, but if there comes a point I do, I won’t get a central line anymore but an AV fistula/shunt that is also used for dialysis patients. The infection risks with a fistula are way lower than any type of central line, but also has its own risks (like bleeding or blood clots).
Wow! Thank you for sharing. I too have had sepsis just far too many times to count. After a while it's less about numbers and more about sheer survival. That's very interesting though, it may be worth checking into for me given my infection rate. 💕
Oh Wonderfull Jazzy! I dont know from where to begin... Ok, first of all from your smile, it is incredible and you Must continue with it, nothing is over and everything continues despite the obstacles of the state health system and the ableism of the society. You are fantastic and a great example for many diferently abled people and not only for them. Yes, it would be really interesting to see more and more videos about you, your condition, your activities and generally things that have to do with your daily life. I would ask (if you dont mind) to show us some excersises, streching, transfers or daily usefull tips for people with s.c.i. do you think about it? At any case, you have a plan!! And i am sure you goone complete it, i think much more people help you to complete it after creating this youtube channel.. So, good luck, you just found a big admirer from Europe! Have a nice week and keep going-smiling!
Ooooh my goodness, thank you so much 💚 I am very happy that you are here. I plan to release tons of fitness/ adaptation style videos. I actually have tons filmed already Haha. I put up a video about transferring into a racing chair yesterday. Do you want to see any types of transfers/ adaptations, specifically? Let me know 💜
@@JazzyStrong oh yes.. i think any kind of transfers (especially floor to chair and back, or chair to sofa, chair to bed and back etc) are a really interesting issue for many people. I would also like to ask you if you could speak and show about the sansation below your level (maybe by doing something like a 'sansation test' hahah), i know it may sounds strange but I think that the loss of sansation is one of the biggest misconceptions about a s.c.i.I thank you too for your interaction, i am sure that this channel will grow up soon! Go on... oh.. and Smile!!!
Something about you is totally magnetic. Lots of love from Cape Town
