Holiday Blessings Sweet Man enjoyed the vlog believing 2025 will be a more fruitful year a day at a time for you. Everything is frozen across the pond so love watching you sow seeds and seeing progress.😊 ❤.I am propagating lavendar looks like it's growing yayyyyy 🎉
Hiya Paul, Thankyou for the visit as comment previously I’m just here to watch now as winter is upon us currently having a wee blizzard. Did notice while you were pruning ivy outside yours a Robin showed up. Had a couple of Cardinals show up in our back garden so made sure to fill up the feeders and refresh water unfortunately it freezes often. Anywhoo re Christmas likeminded thoughts of yourself and Richard. However shall try my best on the upcoming family gatherings. 🤐🥂Take care stay warm thanks to some dead branches. Indeed, I noticed that robin in editing, though had not seen him/her whilst filming - we have a couple who must nest in our garden or very close to it. 👍🤗👍
Merry Christmas and all the best for 2025 to you both. I’ve enjoyed all your videos from Richard’s Vlogs, Sunday Chat and a Week at the Plot. You both brighten my day with your humour and I learn about gardening, and tips around the house. I like to pop in and hear how your week went and what you think about the news happening in Britain. Thanks for sharing the trips you have taken, the beautiful skies and scenery that you see. I also like that you don’t let any gardening problems get you down. Thanks again for this year’s videos and I’m looking forward to them in the new year.
Hi Paul. This years growing season is much better than last year so far in spite of there being so little rain still. Great crops of potatoes, garlic, beetroot, apricots, lettuce and especially green beans so far. I have high hopes for the tomatoes this year too. They're all looking rather health although not producing yet. I'm trying celeriac and sweet potatoes for the first time this year and so far so good and by that I mean that they're still alive. LOL. Well enjoy your festive season. Cheers, Jay.
What a beautiful sky Paul, we had our best year for our Nicola potatoes, this is the first year not to have blight & still have loads left, next year we are trying Maris Peer, yes it’s annoying when your young shoots get nibbled, something has been nibbling on our garlic, merry Christmas to you & Richard. 🎄
Hi Paul, everything in my garden and veg plot gets eaten by rodents. I have to grow all veg in modules to start them off. They even ate all my tulips and daffs as they were coming through last year. Anyway, best wishes for the festive season!
Paul, I have found that if I put some ground cayenne powder in each hole when I plant my bean seeds the critters leave them alone. You can even sprinkle it on top of the soil after planting.
Indeed Linda, I know others do... the issue is I have never or very rarely had mice issues so had not needed to consider it. 😳 I will have a look today and might pop some cayenne or chilli on top over the coming days if there is further damage. 👍😊👍
Hi Paul, thank you so much for this years videos xxx have you tried chilli flakes? Scatter then around the beans... they last a while in the rain xxx best wishes for 2025 xx
Not tried chilli, ground or flakes, mainly as I have never had mice issues before... though times change! 👍😊👍 I will see how they are today and scatter some in the coming days if I see further damage today. 👍😊👍
Merry Christmas Paul. Thank you for all your videos.
You are very welcome Gina. 👍😊👍

Thats a great tip Linda. Cayenne is a very useful spice it has so many great uses.
