- Gilbert Arenas and the Gil's Arena crew break down Bronny James' chances to get drafted in the 2024 NBA Draft. After the NBA lottery occurred last night, Gil, Kenyon Martin, and Sheryl Swoopes all have different takes on why Bronny James wants to join the league. Kenyon thinks he should stay in College at USC, while Gilbert thinks this might be his best chance to get drafted into the NBA to play with LeBron on the Lakers.
Gil’s Arena premieres every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 11:30am PT / 2:30pm ET.

Not one person in these comments have shoes his size to fill.
Man if he’s a bust he’s a bust if he’s good he’s good we know who his daddy is 💀
You can't say remove his father from it and then say he has a chance to get drafted late 1st or 2nd round. He's only in position to do that because of his father. There were guys who were better than Bronny in high school and college that went undrafted. Certainly that didn't get drafted 1st round.
Kyrie was #1 after having played only 11 games in college…. Bronny is projected to be a 2nd round pick… Based on his potential talent, thats fair…. With his father’s influence, he’s getting late 1st round looks…
@@MillieMoBuckzKy 11 games in Duke was something else , he was giving defenders nasty work. Plus he was cooking in high school , NBA scouts were already paying attention to him it's not the same with Bronny tbh.
@MillieMoBuckz Kyrie was number 1 after being one of the top 2-3 HS players in the country & then averaging 17 ppg in this 11 games. He scored 70 more points on those 11 games than Bronny did in 25. He was clearly better
@@SportsSpeak73 facts my boy it's like homie look at Kyrie Duke stats and said oh he only played 11 games and was drafted #1 not knowing he was already a walking bucket.
@@MillieMoBuckzterrible comparison. Those 11 games were so ridiculous he went #1. Go watch them again
This beat is hard! Shidddddd
It’s his dad!!! Without lebron’s dream of playing in the nba with Bronny, no one talks about this
His dad is the reason he's in this position to make millions of his own. He'll be fine whether he makes it a full career or not and will probably play with or against his dad lol I don't see an L in any of this
How he still ranked in his class dummy and rob dillingham approves he a top 4 pick so he just goofy huh
@@deyontaewilkerson5886millions ?
Bro he’s a second round pick
Bronny is good. Without his dad he can last in the league
EVERYONE has been talking about this 😂
Did they really let Gil get away with saying dat dumb $h!+, 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️
He's on the take
Views will go up like crazy , Straight pay day for the nba
You've got a knack for this, loving your content!
Take the father out of it, he's not draftable
Got nothing to do with it, or Jordan’s kids would have had this treatment
Lots of great men became great because they had a father. Good Job Lebron. Bronny got next.
has no chance without the father
@@richforeverleaks3114Jordan never talked about playing with his son
A team is drafting bronnie for 2 reasons
1. They think they can also get Lebron
2. Try to sell out g league games
In this draft he is it’s a very weak class and he has higher upside than most the class and he sells tickets people will come tk see brony play
Watch him get drafted by the spurs 😂😂😂
I’d be blowwwwwn !!! And then following year bron comes over 😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨
Pop would make him a hall of famer
No!!! 😂
@@deioncrgregory8770wym following yr
Gil be glazing 😂😂😂
Has anyone seen the rest of the draft? The whole first round is mostly under 200 lbs, so Bronny at 6'4" 220 is at the very least physically ready for the NBA
Bronny like 61 tho
He's 6"1 with shoes on. Stop exaggerating his height
6'2
@@thomastorres5740no. 6’3 with shoes. 6’1.5 shoes off per the combine
@@thomastorres5740he’s 6’1.5 with no shoes actually. He’s about 6’3-6’4 with shoes on 210lbs. He’s NBA ready physically and his player comp is needed in the NBA.
bronny was barely getting 8 points this past season what are we talking about
5🤷🏻♂️
@@thomastorres5740 I was being generous 😂😂
I didn’t think he was ready but watching g his combine I think he’s gonna be better in the nba than in college he has good shooting and is athletic for his size good iq on a good team he’d be a valuable asset
Bronny got just enough to consider drafting. But I think a lot of people are expecting him to make up for a lack of height and scoring ability with the potential to develop a very high basketball IQ. But we’ll see.
All facts
A good father leaves an inheritance to his son!!😊
I see it this way they want Bronny to rank low first early 2nd round to give the Lakers an opportunity to snatch him. Another team may draft him if his stock is too high. It was never the plan to have him as a top candidate.
Yes his dad is the reason he’s even being talked about but let’s not act like he’s a complete scrub. The college game is a lot different than the nba and so far in the combine he’s showing his talent.
There’s a chance bronnys game translates better in the league than college
You’re only saying what you’ve heard others say. You’ve never watched him & thought that on your own.
4 points a game on a losing team means you’re a pro 😂 pluuueeeeze!!!
The fact that he only averaged 4pts a game in college doesn't really mean anything. His minutes were restricted and he had that injury. The fact that LeBron is his dad gets him a shot in the league because of his potential.
36.6% FG
26.7 3pt
67.6 FT
And he can get drafted is hilarious 🤣
@luciousbattlecat2618 every college player has potential. He's gonna get drafted because of Klutch Sports
@cristianmunoz2480 if Dan Dickua can do 6 years in the league I'm sure bronny will be fine.
@@luciousbattlecat2618"The fact that LeBron is his dad gets him a shot because of his potential" - you spoke like you were having a stroke.
somebody made a great comparison of his situation and used Patrick Williams somebody who averaged 9 points and 4 rebounds and came of the bench that was drafted 4th overall because of his length, defense, and potential now in terms of bronny i think he can be a Cason Wallace type of player essential a low risk, high reward type of player at worst he’s a 3 and D role player
First round pick, late first round, or second round he still got drafted if either happens. It’s more important what he does from there
I can see bronny replacing dlo at point
Good luck.. hopefully, it works out for lil dude. He see 1st hand how the world is at LeBron. I hope he can handle it
Kenyon out there lookin like Trafalgar Law
Love a lot of Gil’s takes. But he really can’t admit bronny isn’t nba material
Cause that would be a lie.
If he wants to go play in the NB.A and do is dream.I don't understand why people have a problem with it.He wants to play with the best players in the world. He doesn't need money. good for him.
Of course he’s going to play with his son.. he already said it whatever team drafts my son that’s where I am going
Klutch Sports sale pitch😂
If you his dad out the equation and simply looked at his ability and production, no NBA team would be looking at Bronnie as a NBA project. Gilbert should hold his opinion on this considering he has a bias due to his relationship with LeBron and his kid.
Kenyon was the most honest in his assessment. NBA players know who has NBA talent or not.
Im saying this too. People really think he's 1 of 1😂 like bro I can search up prospects with a similar or better build than bronny and they wont get invited at the combine.
I could also search up prospects with a worse build than bronny but they're actually putting stats and impacting winning. I like what Bronny showed but cmon now😂
Gilbert is biased cause you don’t agree ? Kenyon is the most honest cause you agree ? 🤣😂 and Gilbert is biased ? Stop hating
@@3030stick bro Gilbert is klutch sports😂 everyone been saying this
He’s averaging 6 points.
NBA is missing out on a golden opportunity. They should reduce the schedule by 5-10 games but add a few high profile yearly rotating aire games that feature current players with dads that used to play. Or even uncles.
This is his best chance now to get drafted, I believe he will develop into a good player might even make an all star appearance or two
Nothing tells you that lol
@@haroldbrown6173he’s right. This is probably one of the weakest classes in a long time. This is the perfect time for him to enter the draft. Less chance to get lost in the crowd.
He sucks
He should have stayed in school and play for a full season
You can't "take the dad out of it"
Martin come on man...
He is bro
It is what it is. He's going to be drafted because of his pops. Its a great story. Hes not a nba player, but he will get his shot.
How would you know what an NBA player is or isn't? Are you a professional scout
Who has even been drafted wit those freshman #s and minutes played??🤷🏾♂️
Zach lavine
Westbrook
Idk what all this talk is about the mf is going to the nba regardless, if he’s bad he’s still staying for at least 5 years so might as well start now
Thing is he could ball out but so what? That just makes it even more messed up.
I think he's on the same level as Giannis brothers. I don't see him having longevity in the league, but if he take it seriously like Gil said. I can see 5 to 7 years in his career
He’s making the right move in my opinion, he’s gunna be a role player in the nba so why not have him come in and learn his role and if it don’t workout it’s fine
Did they change the rules ? I thought once you declared you couldnt return to school
Change it last yr or the yr before
Can’t remove his father becuase bron said he wants to play on the same team as his son so whoever picks him up is guaranteed getting lebron also ,bronny is these teams golden ticket
How can another man make another man’s decision unless you failed?
Do they find it fair to all the kids that have put the time in and are better then him. It's disgusting nepotism is going to get him in the league
Hed be lucky to get the austin rivers treatment.
He has NOT proven himself, no one else would be considered for it.
Bron and Bronny will definitely play together. Bronny's play will be average until about a year or two after lebrons retirement. Then bronny will go crazy
I mean .. maybe. If he doesn't get another heart attack by then.
@@andreicalin5378 you wild
I see you Sheryl Swoopes, best college player ever and best pro talent ever
His best chance to get drafted is this year! He could only hurt himself draft wise if he waits. The element of nobody knowing what he might actually be able to do or not is what gives him the value at this point.
Bronny can party right at Applebees
The kid is proving y’all haters wrong in the combine
He's fine, let em cook
If it wasnt such a weak draft class i would have a problem but the draft class is so weak with no big name players im fine with him getting a chance
Take his name out, and using his first year's performance at usc and add on the heart issue he had, he would not be mentioned at all.
I mean let’s be real the dude is only getting drafted because of lebron. If his last name wasn’t James he would go undrafted
I feel like pressure on him he maybe can tell his dad ready to hang it up n he just trynna make his dad happy .if he plays with his son he’s retiring after that year
He doesn't want to play with his dad he wants his own identity
He’s averaging 4.8 pts a game 😂 is he doing on purpose so he goes to play with his dad?
Yall know bron dont know yall ...yall advocating for his son is bananas.. some of the greatest d1 players couldnt even transition to the nba and this kid has proving nothing and done nothing and yall saying he can do what ...gtfoh
It would be insane if the Spurs draft Bronny and not the Lakers
5 ppg isnt draftable unless it comes with Lebron on ur roster
I think if he goes now, he goes G league. Next year he has a chance to be drafted and put at the end of the bench.
Either way 2 years to a roster. Play in college or G league while you wait?
If Giannas Can Have His Scrub Az Brother LeBron Should Have A Chance
There was a respected NBA Scout who said his defense is already NBA level! 😳
Why Gilbert capping bronny is not going 1st or 2nd if lebron wasn’t his dad not a CHANCE
He gotta put in a few more hours of practice and a few more minutes in games if he wants to make it big in the NBA
I bet he going do well average 10 a game 😊
4.8/2.8/2.1/FG% 36.6/heart issue
No way he is a professional ball player!
Just watch.....bronny high motor, great defense, good shooter hell be fine
He can do everything, but Joker is a bum
As a real real hooper who eat sleep and drink basketball you’ll rather play in the g league then college it’s still pro and paid to play
Arenas crazy if its dad was not lebron he would not been invited in the first place with them stats and the fact he small
Gilbert keep it real like it was jokic u just saying nice things u don't want to upset your boss
Take his dad's last name away and he would not get drafted based on his year in college. No hate just facts
No lies told completely agree 💯
Only people would say otherwise are delusionals
Nepotism is hilarious. 😂
Bro averaged 4 points off the bench in college. You not getting drafted unless your daddy is Lebron. Lol
He’s Doing this so we can come to Ohio to play with his dad and Steph CLE till I DIE
Just get him to the NBA
He’s not getting drafted at all without LeBron
He mad cause he know bronny way better than his son.
If he's Dad is going to play with Dad any team would take him number 1 for his dad
He didn't shoot well in college, decent athleticism but would never smell the draft without his dad.If you have a late pick why not hoping you snag his dad.
All he need is the right team, nobody need to look at him in comparison to his dad. All he got to come in and be a consistent true point and defender, he will spend 10-12 years doing that cause its needed in the gane now. Folks just being weird about it
People sleeping on this dude .. If he does what Kenyan said ball out with dad post dad up shoot the jumper in dad face because he has what it takes... He better than alot of them now
His daddy been selfish all these years pushing the idea he wants to play with his son. He should’ve wanted what was best for his son which at this point is playing more college basketball
No
What father wouldn’t want to play 1 year with their son in the best league in their sport?
@@NayB13 if he hadnt forced him take that poisonous covid shot he might be good enough by now. Wanting to pro ball play with your son when he isn’t good for you kid. A dad is supposed to want his son to be his own man, not pressure him to help his dad accomplish his own dreams
@@chiligribble8431 You are really pushing this narrative huh? No matter what you have to say, even if you're incorrect?
At least stay one more year!!
He's also kinda short
He going to rockets 🚀
Take the father out of it, averaging barely 5ppg he wouldn’t get a second look. Cut it out.
Bronny has the skillset but he doesn't have the mentality to go against a dawg like Brunson or Donovan.
N.O .P should get bronny
No partying his pops no knucklehead and idc who don’t like this
I mean, second half of the second round you really arent expecting much. You're a non lottery team, so you should have depth at least, whats the harm in drafting a kid from some of the best stock ever? Is he good right now? Hell no. But could he be a starter/eventual all star in 4 or 5 years, with the slimmest of possibility at an all nba team eventually? Maybe, just maybe.
God Gil everything ain't one on one.
He's got no chance of being drafted on his own merit
