The most unbelievable thing about this movie, aside from living toys, is a claw machine actually holding on to the toys long enough to land in the prize door.
@@iantaggart3064 he as a toy would have been absolutely abolished so essentially dead and he knew that. he felt andy would be better with buzz yes but he was also guilty
I just realized something. When Sid left the door open, Woody thought they were free and wanted to bolt, the toys got in front of Woody and Buzz to stop them from leaving to protect them from the dog. Why didn't I notice the spider toy shaking his head no? Was I the only one?
I loved this movie as a kid... but it also instilled in me a deep-seeded fear that all my toys were sentient and would conspire against me if I ever did anything that offended them. To this day I apologize to my funko pops if I knock them over. Y'know... just in case.
Originally Sid's dad was going to be alcoholic. Hence the beer can. Nevertheless Pixar decided to make Toy Story a kids movie. Pixar's employees wanted to turn beer into root beer.
For The Green Army Men scene(which was the first scene to be produced), supervising animator (later the director of Monsters, Inc., Up, Inside Out and Soul and since John Lasseter's departure, the head of Pixar) Pete Docter nailed a pair of tennis shoes onto boards and he and a couple of animators walked in those as reference for The Green Army Men). Since technology was limited in the mid-90's, there were different models for when the Green Army Men jumped off the edge and those with their parachutes open, the first models were moved underneath the ceiling of the second floor, so they're not shown in camera and the other activated the parachutes when the camera was showing the floor down below.
At least Sid got a respectable job in waste management. I mean that sincerely. My dad did county-wide waste management for a few years and so many people loved and respected him and his co-workers so much that they brought them gifts regularly. Needless to say, we ate well as a family at those times for sure. Not only that, he would bring home legitimately untarnished knick-knacks such as a fully functional record player/radio with a marvelous collection of vinyl works in the sleeves, a working classic Atari 2600 system with a bunch of games, 2 different and very unique traditionally made eastern parasols, and a bunch of other things I can't recall at the moment. So, for all the BS that Sid had to go through as a troubled child and all of the chaos he caused (young and probably older in teen years), Waste Management is a major step up. Especially for the benefits that I described. How he got there, I don't know, but it is DEFINTITELY a measurable step up 😊
They were originally supposed to have a GI Joe blown up, but Hasbro refused, saying they were upset with them blowing it up. The compromise they reached was that they could have Potato Head instead. Pixar agreed, and they made it a Combat Carl instead.
I personally think you need to know more about Woody to actually understand his actions. Since thinking about it more you yourself wouldn't want to be replaced by something else. Even when Woody tried to trap Buzz in a spot that was his feelings acting up which gets more on more sad as the movie moves forward. I also agree on the comment that the toys over in Andy's house are not friends. True friends will always stay by your side no matter what.
One of my favorite jokes in the movie: "T-O-Y. Toy." "Excuse me, but I think the word you're searching for is 'Space Ranger'." "The word I'm searching for I can't say, because there's preschool toys present."
Toy Story is one of those movies that on rewatching as an adult you realize that every toy, except those build by Sid, are kinda terrible haha. Nice reaction! Really like your editing
I don't think that's fair to say considering that the context that they got was that Woody knocked Buzz out the Window, Woody has been Jealous of Buzz so you can't really blame them for thinking that he was trying to kill him. Plus the only character(s) who didn't completely turn there backs on Woody was Slink and arguably Bo-peep
Idk why people are blaming the toys. If your friend killed someone, would you really still be their friend until they are proved inoccent?? I just don't get that logic personally. I damn well know none of y'all would be friends with someone who you think is a murderer, I think you're just bias cause Woody is the protagonist. And of course if I find out they are actually inoccent I'd be open to our relationship, not wanting to be with a murderer should be an UNDERSTANDABLE hiccup in a friendship.
Well, think back to when they first met Buzz. True, they welcome him in, but they also taunt Woody for not being like Buzz, especially Potato Head. Look, Woody may have been in the wrong about it, but I don’t blame him because he’s been Andy’s favorite for years, then some delusional new toy takes his place for a bit (it’s understandable because imagine how much attention Woody had). So technically, it’s the other toys’ fault for Woody’s jealousy, because if they hadn’t taunted him about being replaced, he and Buzz wouldn’t had went through this.
Dude what're you talking about? We are bias to Woody? We literally follow his side of the story for the entire movie, we know his action and everything and even Buzz is befriend with him at last. The toys literally compare a 1950's toy with the newest toy in the store, especially Mr Potato Head and Ham. If we're talking about the toys side of course we can understand why but we as a viewer knows Woody's story more than them. It's like saying I am the witness of "suppossed" murder that know the person isn't trying to killed the victim and was silence by someone but then the news says that the person is killing the victim and now thr police are in search of the body.
Fun facts: Woody was actually supposed to be more mean and villainous than what we see in the movie Woody’s voice actor’s brother actually voice acted Woody’s voice box whenever Woody’s string is pulled And another fact: Sids father is an alcoholic as evidence in the scene where Buzz saw his toy commercial
Woody is not as bad as you think 💭 He's only looking out for his friends he's always Done that 😂 Woody is just very caring and when you see the other Toy story movies you might believe me Lol 😊 💕
However, Woody's heart and soul is what I love about him. He is loyal and this is something that is seen down the line of the movies and in Toy Story 3 when Andy speaks about him. And honestly you do see a lot of his true character and heart of a toy.
