The Waiting, Even If the Sky Is Falling Down ;D! Hey, thanks, Dame! Always good to see this favourite spot of mine and my wife's. Jimbaran sure is close to our hearts! Menega, too as I have mentioned quite a while ago... we used to eat at Menega when it was the only rumah makan right down in the corner where Sundara is now located. It was a little like Nusa Dua Beach Grill in that it was all that was there (way before Four Seasons) and surrounded by coconut palms.
@@TheMonkeys Yes, Dame! I would say so, my friend. It has an absolutely huge following of famous people as well, no doubt for the same reason. Muaya wasn't even really Muaya back in those days. Intercontinental opened up in October 1993. The land was apparently first secured by Adrian Zecha of the Aman Group together with the GM of Bali Beach InterContinental Hotel at Sanur at the time. I have mentioned this before but you know Bali Beach first opened as an Intercontinental Hotel, right? So, but anyway, back to the story, when the Four Seasons at Jimbaran first opened in 1992 it was actually the Regent Hotel and before this time just as all the local warungs at Canggu now have to move, so did Menega, but they were smart and simply moved further up the beach to what became more popularly known as Muaya and right next to the IC Hotel. I may be a little out with my story but that is the best I can do from my memory of times past when I was just like you absolutely fascinated by all things Bali :D.
Intercontinental Hotel is still one of our favourite Hotels because of this location. So good to see it come alive again. Can’t wait to get back there. 🙏🏼
