Nice video, you were killing me by not having a strainer in the sink drain though for dropped screws. 😆
I don't run a bio-pellet reactor but I have the 12000 version of this pump and I've noticed a reduction in head pressure recently. It's evident by a higher then "normal" sump return cavity water height. Gonna tear mine out and see how bad it is.
    Thanks.
Mine was full of some slimy brown goo around the armature and field area. Running like new now.

Still got the pump? Was thinking about getting the 6000 model but it has mixed reviews on amazon... how well has it worked so far?

Wow so much stuff to run your aquarium. I’ve been running mine for 7 months not once have I had to clean any of my pumps or wave makers because of sludge All I have in my system is A Berlin sump GFO and carbon reactor a UV sanitizer protein skimmer ATO dosing and that’s it ! Simple and affective. I do my cleaning ones every two months on all pumps it takes like One hour to clean them up

is this the return pump from your 125g or frag system? Looking to upgrade my return pump on my 120g with a dc pump.

What brand of bio pellets do you use? I had the same issue with the TLF pellets. I changed over to Dr Tims bio pearls and never have that problem again.

Im currently using 300ml of TLF and the rest is BRS bio pellets. I had a feeling when i was reading around the forums. Thanks for the info man.

No problem. The Dr. Tim's NP active pearls do cost a little more but it's worth it.

I dont remember to be honest. I took my pump to homedepot and found the fittings getting it down to 3/4 inch slip for pvc. Id say do that if you can.

If you use filter socks i find that cleaning only needs to happen once per year.

This is not corrosion, this is limescale / fur
