Thankyou Lauren. For the hand and arm cross over in particular because for me it needs practice. I’ve done stretches for year. I’ve found that where you get tight, eg neck, do the stretch gently for 4 seconds repeat twice more. Then on 4th stretch go as far as you can. Always being careful not to over do it. That way seems to overcome resistance.
Good stretches. Banjo music was unexpected. It is worth noting that stretches for increased flexibility should be around 30 seconds long; anything shorter will strengthen the muscle and promote circulation, but it will not train the nerves to relax the muscles and lengthen the ligaments for increased range of motion.
i need help with that third stretch, have you any instructions? i am recovering from carpal tunnel surgery and physical therapy has not yet begun but i think that third one would help drain lactic acid or whatevz to refresh the arm as a whole well. thanks for the vids! i nearly or did lose my mind when i thought i might not be able to play again especially because lefty lucy was the more damaged hand but i think i might be past several hurdles and healing properly! watching well and simply explained fiddle tips has kept me on target for healing. u d a bess!!! i gots a 5 string early zeta and it misses me

Not only stretching, but also before i play, taking a deep breath while preparing to play whenever i'm nervous.
