The annual music event @ Putnam Museum, during Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Jazz Festival 2023, Davenport, Iowa, was graced with a fine set of musicians, led by Andy Schumm. Chicago Cellar Boys, now a constellation of Andy Schumm, cornet, piano; John Otto, reeds, vocals; Natalie Sharf, reeds; with sit-ins Jeff Barnhart, piano, vocals; T. J. Muller, banjo, guitar; Steve Pikal, string bass; Josh Duffee, drums, here documented from a best possible position. We are grateful we are allowed to videograph extremely close and posting this gem, getting quality picture and sound with the hand held Sony HandyCam FDR-AX100. Believe this footage is an accurate presentation of the full live set in one go, unedited. A high end big screen and proper speakers will set you off for a journey of pure joy! Crossing an ocean for this event, we were sure to see Andy's Cellar Boys in Chicago, at The Green Mill and at The Honky Tonk BBQ for full 3 set gigs, pre Davenport. What a treat!
