- Time for a new series which is both a PPE and a beginner's guide so hope you guys enjoy :3 Nothing much was done for this episode other than getting to level 20 but hopefully we'll be able to make a lot more progress for episode two!

Sure, because having a maxed out pet that heals you to full every time you take damage doesn't change much when starting a new character.
If you really wanted to play from zero, you should disable your pet :/ it is healing you all the time so there isnt anything hard to do with that pet

This is very wrong. The pet helps you so much, you have almost an hp potion per second and you can use your ability way more.
Instead what I would do is make a new account to do these things on so you have to raise a pet aswell.

I understand that. But part of my continued usage for a pet is to expedite this series (similar to how survival shows usually have various conveniences that most people legitimately stranded and fighting for survival will not have). It's something I dealt with back in my MapleStory days when people were going "Why not just make a brand new account and start fresh there?"
Progression from the very beginning takes months to YEARS to run its full course. It's both impractical and unnecessary to subject myself to the same "start from scratch" conditions because:
Need I remind you to make a fully maxed divine pet takes an ungodly amount of time grinding if you're going f2p, not to mention that would be making a second one that would only be done for the sake of this series and not matter anywhere else, thus just being a waste of time and effort for no reason.
It would take way too long with several episodes just being pointless drag grinding. Games like RotMG, while not nearly as long term growth as the likes of other MMO's, is still years longer of a build-up than say a Minecraft world. And I don't plan to run this series for more than a couple months at best and so the biggest corner I want to cut is how LONG it takes.
The purpose of this series is to show players how most high level players can build up characters very quickly but the time spent grinding is not exactly going to be a 1:1 because of the reasons mentioned above. It's up to the viewers to take this and go at their own pace. It makes very little sense for a fitness trainer to gain a bunch of weight and fat and then show how to lose all of it because that puts unnecessary amounts of stress and time on them while the message stays relatively the same regardless of how much the person delivering it weighs. Likewise, deliberately putting myself to 0 (while Hyeperion does it for the sake of his own enjoyment) would only make things more exhausting for ME when I already went through it several times throughout the years playing Realm. I'd very much like not to do so but still give players some insight on how it is done, just catering towards a less committed attention span if that makes sense.
One more thing, because I want to keep procrastinating on my tasks lmao, is that this sort of psychology behind "why not just throw everything away and start from scratch" that is used as criticism towards savants or successful people trying to spread their knowledge to others proves absolutely nothing. Everyone starts as a beginner and to ask an expert to forcefully become a "beginner" again doesn't increase the validity of the series at all. It's not about the station or position of the person in the video, it's about the methods and mindset. Beginner's guides for anything: games, finance, fitness, sports, art, etc. exist not to show people how good you are at getting to something. It's meant to show people how you got there the first time, not to prove to the world for the sake of self-validation that the first time you did it was a fluke.

Your video directly contradicts this though, there isn't a single beginner who is going to run into godlands at level 8, tank a mob there, and proceed to run cemetary.
This is good content, but it feels a bit much to defend it with this wall of text.
No ones asking you to level a pet from scratch, just show beginners the route they'd realistically take if they didn't have a divine, because this isn't it.
All that said, ignoring the beginner aspect, your content is fantastic.

Yeah, this is not a beginners guide ;/ Starting out with a almost maxed divine makes a huge difference. I saw your wall of text reply, and it was a bit difficult to decipher it all. What I got from it was basically this: having a pet like that will just speed up the process, which you would rather do than go through natural slow progression. So, here's my problem with that.
For one thing, as a sort of newish player I watch a lot of ppe videos and think, "oh they are just pay to win and got a good pet and that's how they're so good." Which, in some ways, is true. Obviously not completely, they are better than me, but it's discouraging to see a lack of npe videos that prove without a doubt it is possible to succeed as a f2p player, no pet.
This video is misleading in that it is a "guide" for new players. New players cannot do reckless things, and in many situations, are forced to either nexus or die without a pet. While having a pet does technically just speed up the process, new players don't want to go through a tireless, constant grind that takes little risks. To make this a true beginners guide I would recommend showing how to play at a reasonable rate as a new f2p player, which is what most people are at this point. If a pet doesn't make a difference then it can't be so hard to not have one. Technically everything in every game can be passed through time, but everyone playing is human. They don't want to go through that slow, they want to learn some tricks and how to play as they are.
Check out Hyeperion, he has done a few NPE from what I've seen and gotten very, very far. In fact, it was so far many didn't even realize it was NPE because he did so well.
It is possible.
Would I call this a beginners guide? Not exactly, but it is helpful. I'm pretty new (started about 2 weeks ago and I'm about to get a rare heal/magic heal pet (just need to finish maxing the second one but I'm close). The game is fairly easy once you have maxed stats, and trading pots makes 8/8 a breeze.
I lost a 6/8 knight on Saturday night at like 3 am (I got off after that), and I already have it back at 6/8 only playing ~3 hours each on Sunday/Monday. Just make sure you're using Realmeye current offers to double-check prices, don't over/under sell and you should be able to just farm sprite/snake/udl dungeons and max your character. This is all done with a maxed uncommon (took about a week of playing to get).
In fact, my roommate actually did a challenge where he wanted to 8/8 a character in a week starting with 0 pots. He did it farming for dex/spd and then trading. This is precisely why PPE's don't trade, because it makes the 8/8 process trivial.
@@Mqxwell well... I am a complete idiot lmao. I only got my first 8/8 after about 2 years. I don't think I had heard of realmeye or even traded pots during that entire time
@@creepyco2844 Nahhh I wouldn't say that. It's awesome but not for everyone, just hit up USWest3 (you'll see it's crowded most of the time) and you can buy pretty much anything there.
I only use Realmeye for checking prices, but people do trade on there too (I check prices with current offers).
Basically, I just farm up 8-16 spd/dex/wis (all easy and fast dungeons), then trade some combination adding up to between 6-8 of those for 1 life. Then with the life, you can pretty much get everything else.
This also makes getting wine cellar tops super easy as people are selling those too.
So, my strat for making a character with 2 slots. Get the first one to max dex/spd. Then use that character to farm for the dex/spd/wis to trade for life. Get the 2nd character (not the farming one) to 8/8. Only then trade for wine cellar tops for the 8/8. Then once you have an 8/8 with wc tops you can pretty much do anything.
This isn't PPE strat obviously, but for people who want 8/8 with good gear, it's by far the safest AND fastest method. If the 2/8 farming character dies you should have the 2nd character buffed enough to get that dex/spd back to max without risking it too much because snake pits and sprites are so easy.

As a beginner you go to god land at lvl 13 if you are brave. This dude goes into a dungeon that you probably wouldn't go to even at lvl 20 at the beginning and he tells you that leaching is fine.
The pet is like drinking hp and mp pots every second for free, lol

Hey dude I know this video have a good amount of time but I used to play this game like 6 years ago and I started over this afternoon. I remembered that you can tp to people using the chat. But I tried all they day and I couldn’t. There is something in the new strange client to use the chat to tp? I tried both clicks and it doesn’t to anything. Ty anyways :)

You should cover how to get a pet and doing it without starting with one because not all of us are gonna be able to start with one.
You should also check to see if I still make realm videos :) If you spend 5 seconds to click on my channel you'll know I've moved on from this game.

i started a few days ago as f2p and am having a blast and so far do not feel overly limited, there are easy dungeons for new players to farm for items they can trade for everything they need except for storage basically

What is soulbound damage? Is it the amount of hits you got to do on the enemy?
It’s a damage threshold to hit to get loot, don’t ask me for the dmg values I don’t know them either, but a higher dmg class needs less hits than a lower one to get sb

So I just started. Been trying to figure out how to name my character. I seen a post saying I need to talk to yellow statue in the nexus. Fair enough. But when I try to talk to him it says I don't have enough gold. Is the game pay to chat?

Launch the legacy version and type /tutorial, do the tutorial and it’ll ask u to set a name towards the end

Because most of the times you die in rotmg is by getting oneshot without being able to react, and a divine pet wont heal you from 0-100.

How do I get a good pet
Lots and lots and lots and lots of eggs, patience, and luck XD
Grind tombs, epic dungeons, and mid tier dungeons like libs, pup, and manors for feed power since most the whites they drop are trash or have crazy fp and are relatively common. For example: prots has 1250 fp and I find them to be relatively common, tomb lute has 1000 fp, trash tomb rings have 800 fp, cutlasses and concertinas 800 fp, dokus are kinda trash and have 800 fp, the waki from wlab is absolute garbage but has 800 fp. If ur running out of vault space don’t stack your characters! Always invest in ur pet because the items u carry will be gone once u die with those items but ur pet will always stay the same. If u have more than three swap outs I recommend feeding them. U don’t need to have an acclaim, a.s.s, csword, and a pixie on one character. Also avoid using to much tradeable wealth on ur characters like pixies, etherites, etc. Instead make a second account and store tradeable wealth items there.
The second step is join the lost halls discord for fame: discord.gg/EKFPG73
Get verified and follow the instructions the bot gives u.
Bring characters that are maxed atk and dex and I recommend u doing cults first since their much easier. React with the cult symbol join the call and u should hear a raid leader talking. Rinse and repeat and you will get a divine.

I am a 8 bit rogue/rpg fanatic and after tons of games ruined by gen z/alpha devs I found this and got super excited. Thinking they finally did it made an 8 bit pixel type mmorpg and did it right.
Then I logged in.
It is pure pay to win.
I can deal with being a low level bum but guess what you cannot do.
You cannot sell items for gold.
Gold must be paid for with CASH.
All items sold or bought are in CASH.
There is no melee attack.
You literally spam shoot the whole time it is the most boring battle style I have ever played. I bought Quest of Dungeons the same day so at least one turned out great.
Well, you can pay for your stuff with real money, but you can always trade with other people.
what kind of ape buys items from the nexus? you can earn like 5 of any weapon, armor, whatever you can buy there in like a day of farming lol.
