Thanks for sharing the journey. I’m hoping to start some training to do St Cuthberts Way later this year but I need to lose some weight and definitely get some distance walks in. It would be good to hear what you’ve brought with you, how you prepared for it, the weight of the pack etc if you get chance. Love your way of chatting to the camera 👍
Deliberately didn’t weigh it out, all I know is that the tent was 1.7kg. Didn’t want to obsess about it, but I certainly could have got it lighter. My boots were the main thing for me. Salomon X Ultra 4 Mid Gore-Tex. I done a few 10ish mile walks with the full weight before doing it. Making sure it was a varied walk with hills, etc. but I still found the first day a little tough. I loved the tweed but yes agree it is a long stretch mind. Granted i only got to morebattle when i did it last year as i did me back in tripping on a tree route. You certainly had the weather 🎉

😂 as the day went on I realised how warm and sunny it had been. But I hadn’t realised how bad the sunburn was until I started videoing in the tent. 🙄
I’m adding this one to my list - I was thinking my next trip might be St. Oswald Way but now you got me thinking….. 😂
As I was approaching Holy Island I passed a few people starting the St Oswalds Way. Been thinking about doing that one myself.
