@Submissions101 ARI ! dude.. this is a sick submission to get the puppet master... im pretty sure you have seen that, its an advanced rubber guard , this works perfect to get to it ! thanks !
Oh trust me...it does....I learn something new everyday...it is the journey, not the destination that counts....I suck at lots of stuff and I put in the reps to try and get better at them too...just like everyone ;-)
You'd be surprise how shitty the pay is for guys for many of the guys.Just look at at the pay outs and how lop sided they are. MMA fighters don't make anything close to other pro athletes. Even the worse hockey player makes 400 000 year...80% of the guys in the UFC will never see money like that in a year. And besides...I've gotten punched enough bouncing for 14 years ;-)
The Rubber Guard is not hard to learn and the 10th Planet system is more than the RG. The learning curve is no harder than traditional BJJ and proven that 10 year old's are learning it now ;-)
Yes....but your general statement was that the UFC pays a lot of money just like any other pro sport. This is simply not the case and most guys aren't top ranked.
i can see a potential escape while you are still in the stock, when you go for the sweep. it wouldn't work if you grabbed his stocked arm with cross wrist control and kept tight. i noticed you switched wrist control grips in the middle of the tutorial, first you did asylum with your left hand controlling, then later explained to transfer. i guess you did this because it's hard to keep the grip. so wouldn't it be best to just switch grips to cross wrist control as soon as you enter the stock?
it's not really that complicated. they just start from the very beginning to the very end, but really you should think of this as a re-counter to a sweep from a stock. step 1. get stock. step 2. attempt sweep. step 3. if sweep fails, attempt crooked triangle. if you can hold the stock, you can usually hold your guy down pretty well even if he is resisting. you have such a good shoulder pin on him in the stock, it's not even an issue unless the guy is a weight class above you or something
if your serouus about it use your weight be on top i fought a 100 lbs guy and he plays top game being ion top and cross mount makes me tap cause im cant breath and hes crusshing my ribs making it easy for him to do basic submission cause i cant move or breath
because its almost a overhaul one system isn't really better then the other but so much of eddies stuff seems to build off itself so unless you get train a lot of rubber gaurd its pretty hard to apply
brilliant i'll be trying this one!! i'm lucky i'm quite flexibile and latley been looking at this rubber guard cos i think it will boost my game no end!!
I have a question about the whole rubber guard thing. I'm just a whitebelt but I really like using the rubber guard when sparring in practice. I've gotten many triangles from it and some omoplata's. I'm interested in focussing a little on rubber guard techniques, but I was wondering if that's a good idea, or if it's more suited for higher ranked guys?

laugh...no. Not an athlete by any means and don't have a desire to get punched in the face for little to no money ;-)
Is that good Master Quick? Much of my ninjaness I got from you ;-)
Hi YA!
I was wondering if anyone would pick that up? ;-)

Total beast. I want to join a JJ gym badly. I know some basics, but I can't do stuff like this. Ve3ry nice video, thanks for the tips.
I did this today and actually found an armbar off this, i didn't pull the arms in just closed the triangle and saw it
Gsp vs Penn...Gsp had 200 000$ for the fight...and another 200 000$ bonus for the win.
400 000$ for a fight! :D
Very nice Ari, That will leave a mark if ever you execute that in a grappling match. Ill practice this. Thanks
