The Honeybees Ascent - Dreamscapes (2024)

A short piece in my suite for piano in which I tried to convey the color yellow.
In my opinion, the mode of Dorian suits this color best. I tried to keep the main melody relatively high throughout most of the piece, while keeping that Dorian flavor throughout. The idea of a honeybee flying around can also help evoke that yellow feeling of the piece, hence the main idea behind it. The piece is in a short ternary form.
