Why a War With Iran Is Inevitable

#Iran may not have launched any direct wars, but the Revolutionary Guards have helped to sow chaos throughout the region, and it appears that they were in some way behind Hamas' brutal attack on #Israel on 7 October. For example, it appears that they were in some way behind Hamas's brutal attack on Israel on 7 October. How? By providing the Palestinian terrorist group with weapons and training.
And that is not all, there is also the issue of the nuclear programme, which is unacceptable because of the risk it would pose to Israel, to the US's own deterrence - which would lose much of its strength - and also because of the risk of nuclear proliferation. Obviously, if Iran gets its hands on the bomb, don't think for a moment that Saudi Arabia, the Emirates or even Turkey will sit idly by. And to top it all off, there is the support for #Russia. Whichever way you look at it, Iran is becoming an increasingly difficult headache for the US to cope with.

As an iranian i think abandoning the nuclear deal was a great move by US. after that withdrawal the iranian economy got devastated and it really turned the people against regime in a span of 2-3 years. The hardliners in Iran who support supreme leader were always skeptical of the deal and wanted to abandon it just like republicans in america. So eventually that deal was gonna be abandoned anyway, and a single nuclear deal wouldn't solve any of the other problems between america and iran. So, morally it was the worst thing america could do since it created a black market and allowed government to control the whole economy, but strategically, great move.

As much as Iran is USA's problem, a war in the region would be a catastrophe for Europe.
Just number wise, Iran is an 80 million strong country (ie Germany) with young demographics, over 70% of the population under 45 years of age. The humanitarian/refugee crisis that could come from this war would put the Syrian crisis to shame. If anything, with America becoming ever more sketchy with Ukraine effort, the EU should ensure war is avoided.

There's a dude called scott ritter on the internet. He says some funky things about russians sometimes, but he's right about a lot of things too. Among them is nuclear war: Back in the cold war, the US and the Soviets were still TALKING to each other. The people in power today seem too caught up in their own ideas of morality and ideology to actually do their job. Diplomacy is substituted for demands and ultimatums, and compromise and negotiations are ignored. The world needs some pragmatic leaders, with realistic policies. For the first time since the enlightenment era, it is clear that idealism alone is not enough. Not when you're no longer running the world.
I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that we're closer to nuclear war than we've probably ever been.

The answer is no. War with Iran is not in the US interest. The middle east as a whole is no longer a US key interest. We should be shifting our primary focus to the Pacific, and supporting proxies in the middle east as an afterthought. If the Israelis or Saudis or Turkey or whoever want to buy American weapon and defense technology, or even hire American security contractors, that's fine. They have the money to do so. They are capable of fighting their own battles at this point, or forming a self-interested coalition to oppose a regional threat like Iran. They are also probably much better ... oriented toward the low-intensity /assassination stuff in their own backyards that we just don't want to be involved in.

as a person from Syria, I agree about the rising danger of Iran in the region and about the necessity of putting a limit to its progress. however, the American presence in the region is up to no good as well. the solution would be cutting the intervention of all foreign countries from the region ( yup especially that of the U.S ). and allowing the countries in the region to deal with their own issues. ( the support of radical unoffcial military groups is also used by the U.S btw )

This has been clear for a while. Whether you agree or not, the signs cant be ignored. Iran has lost control of its proxies, but it can't abandon them without showing itself to be a bad ally and destroying all of its foreign objectives. The US and its allies in the region can't defeat these groups unless they deal with Iran as the proxies could fight indefinitely so long as they receive resources from Iran. Its almost inevitable, I can't see a way out of it.

To stop the Ayatollah and the the terrorist threat, all US and EU have to do is to support the Iranian people who hate the Ayatollah and the IRGC more than Israel and Saudi Arabia combined. This strategy will avoid a wide range war and after the regime change, US can negotiate with the ProWestern Iranian people and their political leaders.

In the event of a war between the US and Iran, the US would eliminate Irans ability to produce and export oil. This will cause 70% of Iranian government funding and 20% of the nations GDP to dissappear overnight. The US is somewhat insulsted from the energy price shock as it is self sufficient. But many European countries would be paying the highest energy prices in history. Iran would lose its Navy and Airforce quite fast.

Disingenuous start @1:47 At the very least start by telling the actual truth, Hamas and other groups broke out from their prison and siege and attacked their occupiers. The attack was violent yes but it was against their occupiers of 57 years, those Palestinian groups and their families were occupied for 57 years and placed in an open-air prison for 17 years. All of the 2.3 million were placed in an open air prison by Israeli occupation forces.
It didn't start 4/5 months ago, Gaza has been occupied for 57 years and over the past 17 years the Gazans have been living in an open air prison, WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOUR FAMILY WERE OCCUPIED FOR 57 YEARS AND PUT IN AN OPEN AIR PRISON FOR 17 YEARS.
DIDN'T START 4/5 MONTHS AGO, don't let them try and convince you that.
Now, with the above context you may continue.
