But it saddens me to think that in 24 years since this movie's release we have done virtually nothing to stem the tide of climate change, and that the current real life president does not even believe that we, as a species, are to blame or that it is a big deal.
You better hope there are no volcanic eruptions as one single eruption could pollute way more CO2 than all humans and animals ever could do in centuries or thousands of years. Then it truly will be the end of us.
We still have eleven years and ten months (give or take a couple of days), according to AOC. So you will have to relinquish all power to the federal government now so that they can save you and all the planet. Just trust them. We do have the best politicians money can buy!
Nah it will be a few hundred years before the melting ice floods and drives everybody into smaller and smaller dry land leading to starvation and survival of the strongest but we and all of our kin will be long dead that's the reason I don't give a shit what's yours?
Global warming is at best a political publicity stunt. At worst, it's a complete lie to the American people. AOC is not a reliable source when it comes to politics, much less the environment. If global warming was a legitimate threat, the American people would have known about it a lot earlier than they did.

The same people who ranted and raved about an unsecured email server later tried to defend the fact that many the President's inner circle didn't have proper clearance to see and do what they were seeing and doing.
But Clinton's got nothing to do with the current President. Independents, swing voters and genuine, traditional conservatives may have convinced themselves for a few days in November to take a chance with someone with his professional and personal reputation, but the buyer's remorse was almost immediate... and it's gone downhill since then. President David Dennison tried to buy a bump in job approval with temporary, modest tax breaks because pay-offs have always been a central part of his corporate strategy (I'm from New York City, we've known this man since long before his reality TV show became a fly-over state primetime hit)... but modest payoffs will only get him so far.

Hope you made inquiries in advance. Some countries won't take you without an education.
The wife and I love this movie; great for date night.
@@organichuman other than the 20 or so volcanoes erupting at any given moment, everyday?
The whole we have 12 yrs climate change stuff is b/s
Just mean that you were successfully propagandized by this movie. It’s intentions to make us hate guns and support the climate change tax.

This comment is not aging well ... increasing ... not well ...
24 year-old movie talking about global warming being as bad as nuclear war. You’d think we would all be fried by now.
We still have eleven years and ten months (give or take a couple of days), according to AOC. So you will have to relinquish all power to the federal government now so that they can save you and all the planet. Just trust them. We do have the best politicians money can buy!
Hollywood in full propaganda bullshit mode.
I was thinking the same thing.

It's a whole lot simpler and easier to be president in the movies, huh?

Michael Douglas would’ve made a great president 😅

Isn’t that the door that leads to the Chief of Staff’s office, not he President’s private office?
Actually, that corridor does lead to the chief of staff’s office which is further down the hall. But before getting there, one encounters the president’s private office/dining room.
A deal he shouldn't have made.
1995. Holy cow! And still today people actually think global warming is a lie. How little we take heed
It's a lie, in the way that it's preached to us.
"Global warming" is a scam. Than and now.
@@goodcitizen6185 It's a year later, but can you explain your comment?
This is my 2nd favorite President movie. #1 is Air Force One.
Samantha Mathis looked so pretty
It's sad that in today's world, this would be considered sexual harassment.
No what's sad is that you and a bunch of other morons believe what you just wrote
Eric Zombrow Henry was kind of dumb with what he said
All he did was ask her on a date. How in the world is that harrassement??!
Nonsense. You can ask a woman if she would like a donut without it being harassment. If you think otherwise then you have your head on backwards.
Why, if it was an actual working environment then maybe but they were neither employee nor employer.
Movie
I liked this movie. Michael Douglas does a good job of giving the impression that he's a middle of the road bipartisan statesman throughout the movie but then he goes off the reservation and full heel with his "get the guns" speech and ruins it.
It's a movie. At least 15 years before the Orange dude. Breathe regular. It's just a movie.
Support of the ACLU, unions, and protecting flag burning didn’t tip the hand there?
Neither did his opposition being clear republicans trumpeting “family values and character”?
To your mind he’s middle of the road up to the point where he uttered the phrase “get the guns”?
I wonder if you’re a single issue voter, and if so, I wonder what your particular issue is. Hmm.

It's easy - they want regulations to reduce emissions by 20%. Which is much bigger than what's promised through the Kyoto Protocol in real life.
