    Thanks for tips! Still 1 problem: when i scroll down to the footer of the post page, the toc is still show up. How can i make it only show in the post body only?

    • @DoYouEvenBlog
      @DoYouEvenBlog  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try playing with the “z-index” value on the advanced tab (try making the TOC “1” or “-1” first, then maybe your footer if it’s built using elementor!)

      @@DoYouEvenBlog I was facing the same issue. I set Z-index to 1 and problem solved. Thank you so much.

    Quick question - do you support using elementor post templates for blog rather than Gutenberg ? I currently use elementor for everything on my website including posts but have been told by various people that using it for my posts will have big negative impacts once my blog gets more traffic. And that I should keep using elementor everywhere except my posts? Do you agree?

    Do you know how to pull specific words from the H2? Example: A heading that's titled... Mercedes: American's Love These... However I don't want that entire title to show in the TOC.. I only want the word Mercedes to show. Any idea how to achieve this?

    Hey Pete!
    Thanks for the video. This is really super helpful. I wanted to know if this toc comes with the schema markup to fetch the results in search. If not, can there be a possible way out?

    A question if I may...(of course, always a question:-)
    Any idea why my offset doesn't change when I use it to lower the TOC off the header?
    It's been driving me nuts!!
    Thank you buddy...
    Update: I had the 'Stay in Column' option enabled - SOLVED! :-)

    I am trying to use the element as a list at the top of a listicle post I did. My list contents are H3s and I need to know how to use the container setting in this plugin. Please explain so only the H3 headings I want to show up actually show up. Thanks

    If I use a sticky header, the heading I choose in the table of contents disappears behind the header. How can I prevent this?

  • @Skullie1601

    If you are trying to exclude titles from TOC do it this way:
    give the title, you want to exclude the CSS class "ignore" (click the title, settings, layout)
    go to the settings from TOC (content, exclude, Anchors by selector) and type in ".ignore" (don't forget about the .)
    much better way then to search for the ID
    cheers

    • @DoYouEvenBlog
      @DoYouEvenBlog  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's definitely possible, esepcially since you can tag the TOC to be an H3 tag or something, but I don't have any specific data to prove anything like this. Probably doesn't hurt though ;)

  • @damiaoherrera
    @damiaoherrera 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Cant set it by container.
    I have set html tag for main content as - main.
    Then I spiecified it in the "INCLUDE" tab to have only headings from this part.
    Headings do not load.
    What's the reason?

    How would you get the table of contents to stick in the screen? Currently mine is covering up the site title when I scroll down. Thanks

    • @DoYouEvenBlog
      @DoYouEvenBlog  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You'd need to make the element "sticky" (it's in the 3rd tab of settings somewhere. Do a TH-cam search for "Elementor sticky" or something). You might also have to play around with using a Z-index to make sure it goes over/under different elements of your site.

    Thank you for the tuitorial. How do I make the table of contents pull from more than one page? I have a main blog post page and then I have tuitorials by category that I want to populate on my table of contents. 1. The table of contents is on a page called "blogs" then I have individual pages of DIY how to on pages like "Christmas" "Home Decor" "Outdoor" These are the main headings I want to show on my table of contents but they are on other pages on where my table appears. Help?!?!?!?!

  • @darthvader777

    Hi, how did you remove space between the border and the list from the left? I have a pretty big gap there, and I saw it in different videos and blogs too

    • @DoYouEvenBlog
      @DoYouEvenBlog  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I altered the "padding," my Lord. Pray I don't alter it any further (#fellowNerd!).
      You might have to play around with WHERE you adjust the padding (the individual element padding, or the column padding). Note that the padding is found in the advanced tab when you're selecting the element (or column)

    nobody talks about mobile view, if use this widget as a sticky in bottom it is very awful, close and open only by clicking on icon, not possible centered only title (without centered a list). not closed after navigation etc.
    at 2021 more than 70% of visitors from mobile.
    Your overview on PC. Think about it.
    "Wooden" widget, needs a lot of work.
    I don't understand the rave reviews
