Former barista of ten years here! We love seeing you make coffee at home and it really is art! One of the reasons you probably liked todays drink is by “saving” your espresso shot with the syrup. After ten seconds espresso shots (if not saved by liquid like milk or syrup) will separate and “die” aka become super bitter. And good try with the frother! Those things can be tough, but it looked delicious! I’ve been rewatching vlogmas videos from years past and i think this year is easily becoming my favorite by far! I traveled for work quite a bit in 2019 and it was a huge turning point for my independence. At that point I was 27 and had never traveled alone, I ate every meal alone and for some reason that really gave me a huge boost of confidence! Merry Christmas babes.

I work a high stress job and when I tell you my walk home without any distractions, just looking at nature and traffic, is what keeps me sane I’m not exaggerating. It helps me decompress, not being work home, and it improves my mood. The days I have my phone out I’m noticeably more crabby after work.
I remember I used to always be amazed at how easily my grandparents make friends & meet new people until I realized it's bc they only ever use their phones for phone calls, text messages or sometimes taking photos. When they're waiting in a public place they either just sit & observe or they'd actually talk to other people. Ever since I noticed that I've been trying to do the same more often & it's allowed me to have some really interesting conversations w strangers. It's been a great exposure therapy exercise for my social anxiety. 10/10 highly recommend! PS I can't wait for the legend, the queen, the icon that is Momma Kelly!!

about the phones thing. at my job i have to eat my lunch in a super crowded food court and because i can't use my phone at work i always forget to take it with me for my break. at first it really has felt so weird and i didn't know what to do with myself but now i just take a book wand even if i remember to take my phone with me i don't use it at all. i just sit there reading and people watching. it really was amazing practice for going out of my comfort zone but also being less dependent on my phone and i genuinely recommend it!!!
I literally just watched the entirety of Elf while my phone was charging in the other room. I felt completely naked & incomplete without it for that 1.5 hours! Sam, I feel ya.

I've been married to an active duty soldier for about ten years now. And before we had our son I would take myself on dates all the time when my husband was gone for training or deployments. I absolutely loved going to the $1 movie theater in Colorado springs then to dinner(like an actual sit down dinner in a restaurant not fast food) and I've never been the type to be glued to my phone anyways so I would get to just enjoy my time alone and be in the moment.
You are definitely not the only one.... just the thought of going out to eat and sitting by myself gives me so much anxiety! You inspire me to push myself and my boundaries!
Something people don’t talk about enough is the correlation that mental and physical health have. I actually lost my period for two years due to stress. Headaches can also be due to stress, and magnesium does really help. I use the kind with the rainbow on it, and it makes my headaches go away in like 15 minutes. Also keep up the hydration, and try to get 8 hours of sleep. To whoever is reading this, please don’t feel down on yourself if you are having a more difficult time around the holidays. You are definitely not alone, but we can get through this together! Love you all❤

As a person who has also had depression since my teen years, I truly feel for you. I know to well what it feels like for your brain and your body to absolutely betray you. I'm 44 now and I still struggle with my issues daily. We all see how hard you trying to find your way through. Overall life is a rollercoaster, you are just going to have a few more ups and downs than others. But, I know you will find your way through it. You have amazing support and resources that were not available to me at your age. Be kind to yourself. You deserve it. 🤗

About the phone thing. I can totally relate! Last fall I volunteered to be a counselor for a freshman camping orientation for my college before classes started. We camped by a lake close to campus in the middle of the woods. There was no service at all. So even if you wanted to get on your phone you couldn’t do much. My college is a Christian based campus. Towards the end of the week we did a little exercise of picking a spot away from other people and be alone with God. We could choose to talk to him or just hangout with nature for like an hour or so. I had a really deep conversation with God and had an amazing opportunity to observe the beauty that he had created with nature. Think it is good to limit ourselves with our phones and technology. I’m not saying that in order to do that you have to be in the woods. I know for a fact that I get sucked in really easily and before I know it it’s like 4pm! Anyway sorry for the long essay! I just thought I would share this to let you know that we can definitely relate! I look forward to your vlogmas videos everyday! I wish you nothing but happiness and prosperity! ❤

It helps me decompress, not being work home, and it improves my mood. The days I have my phone out I’m noticeably more crabby after work.

I remember I used to always be amazed at how easily my grandparents make friends & meet new people until I realized it's bc they only ever use their phones for phone calls, text messages or sometimes taking photos. When they're waiting in a public place they either just sit & observe or they'd actually talk to other people. Ever since I noticed that I've been trying to do the same more often & it's allowed me to have some really interesting conversations w strangers. It's been a great exposure therapy exercise for my social anxiety. 10/10 highly recommend!

about the phones thing. at my job i have to eat my lunch in a super crowded food court and because i can't use my phone at work i always forget to take it with me for my break. at first it really has felt so weird and i didn't know what to do with myself but now i just take a book wand even if i remember to take my phone with me i don't use it at all. i just sit there reading and people watching. it really was amazing practice for going out of my comfort zone but also being less dependent on my phone and i genuinely recommend it!!!

I've been married to an active duty soldier for about ten years now. And before we had our son I would take myself on dates all the time when my husband was gone for training or deployments. I absolutely loved going to the $1 movie theater in Colorado springs then to dinner(like an actual sit down dinner in a restaurant not fast food) and I've never been the type to be glued to my phone anyways so I would get to just enjoy my time alone and be in the moment.
You are definitely not the only one.... just the thought of going out to eat and sitting by myself gives me so much anxiety! You inspire me to push myself and my boundaries!

Something people don’t talk about enough is the correlation that mental and physical health have. I actually lost my period for two years due to stress. Headaches can also be due to stress, and magnesium does really help. I use the kind with the rainbow on it, and it makes my headaches go away in like 15 minutes. Also keep up the hydration, and try to get 8 hours of sleep. To whoever is reading this, please don’t feel down on yourself if you are having a more difficult time around the holidays. You are definitely not alone, but we can get through this together! Love you all❤

As a person who has also had depression since my teen years, I truly feel for you. I know to well what it feels like for your brain and your body to absolutely betray you. I'm 44 now and I still struggle with my issues daily. We all see how hard you trying to find your way through. Overall life is a rollercoaster, you are just going to have a few more ups and downs than others. But, I know you will find your way through it. You have amazing support and resources that were not available to me at your age. Be kind to yourself. You deserve it. 🤗

About the phone thing. I can totally relate! Last fall I volunteered to be a counselor for a freshman camping orientation for my college before classes started. We camped by a lake close to campus in the middle of the woods. There was no service at all. So even if you wanted to get on your phone you couldn’t do much. My college is a Christian based campus. Towards the end of the week we did a little exercise of picking a spot away from other people and be alone with God. We could choose to talk to him or just hangout with nature for like an hour or so. I had a really deep conversation with God and had an amazing opportunity to observe the beauty that he had created with nature. Think it is good to limit ourselves with our phones and technology. I’m not saying that in order to do that you have to be in the woods. I know for a fact that I get sucked in really easily and before I know it it’s like 4pm! Anyway sorry for the long essay! I just thought I would share this to let you know that we can definitely relate! I look forward to your vlogmas videos everyday! I wish you nothing but happiness and prosperity! ❤

One of the first videos I ever saw was the one where you were cleaning your room and smelled your underwear to check if it was clean or not and it was the first time I had belly laughed in a long time so I followed.
