    Nice video, also like that you are using a rope halter. I learned the hard way to not use a flat nylon while ponying 😅

    I pony off my mare horses but I also “pony” my dog when I ride at local parks where dogs have to be on a leash.

    I think your instruction on ponying is spot on. However, I don't believe in it being done while on another horse. Simple explanation is, you'll never never see a mare put a halter and lead rope on her foal to do anything. Everything you're teaching is asking the ponied horse to respect the horse your on. I want the horse to respect my instruction and not another horse.
