Because Japanese are basically the "extremes" when it comes to music : They can create the greatest masterpieces the world has ever known (Nujabes, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Math-rock, orchestral etc), but they can also create the shittiest crap of all time. Like J-pop. J-pop is commercial. The rest (good music) is not. You got your answer here. Fortunately, there are still quite a lot of people, even in Japan, that like good music.
Hello. As you pointed out, the majority of Japanese prefer idyllic groups (like Johnny's AKB group Exile in Japanese) vulgar music. I think that is because it is in the top rank of operated rank in a sense. It is a nation that respects big and bad adjustments, better or worse. I think that I would like to maintain the condition that music is selected by the ranking number rather than my own feeling and it is with everyone. Music like LITE is not commercially successful in Japan, it is regrettable.
@kurobass This is only one of their songs, many others shift constantly, and the term 'math rock' didn't even originally come from how 'mathematic' the songs sounded anyway. Either way, it's more useful to say this is math rock than to split hairs even further... and even then, it's only loose description. Sounds great either way.

This is not math rock. This song stays in 6/4 the entire way through. It's an odd time signature for 'western' popular music but math rock is many time signatures within the course of a track, constantly alternating and changing.

だから、曲に歌詞がないと知った時点で再生を止めて次のリンクへと飛んで行く人たちへいま一度考えて欲しい、聴いて欲しい。
確かに歌詞も心を動かす一つの要素だと思う。でも歌詞が全てという訳じゃない。歌詞を歌う声も曲を構成する楽器であるということ。歌詞と声という楽器がこの曲には無いだけなんだと。
こんなにも素晴らしい音を奏でる彼らの曲を一度だけでいいから最後まで聴いて見て欲しい。
