Never played a hero shooter before, besides Marvel Rivals. Just adding the "Marvel label" to it immediately made me get this game because I love Marvel and all the designs look awesome. This game has brought in gamers, sweats and noobs, but also marvel nerds, comic book geeks, anyone who was a fan of superheroes (I guess even the gooners). No wonder this game is so popular, it has every category of players

14:37 Nothing actually stopped Strange's ult there, he got it off before he got Sedated by Mantis, as proof when he goes to the Mantis POV you can see Thor behind Wolverine got hit by it. What happened was, Magneto threw his bubble onto Wolverine which protected him from Strange's ult entirely as it protects from both damage and crowd control effects. Magneto also had his wall up which protected himself and the Mantis behind him from the ult as well.
i appreciate the pause and commentary Tim, things happen so fast in this game especially at this high of a level that its hard to understand wtf just happened.
It's funny because I play it and enjoy it, but don't find spectating it very enjoyable. If you find the videos entertaining, you will probably love playing it.
Just goes to show the power of positioning. It also shows why cordination is needed to make Wolverine shine. Dive in pull out, and have your team delete a single enemy, thus creating a numbers advtage. The supports also needs to protect the diving Wolverine as he goes in and out. This is obviously harder with less team coordination. Decision-making is really important as well, as seen here.
Well said. I will add in that top tier healers help a lot giving the Wolvie more time in the fight. If you don't get them heals, Wolvie is spending more time running away than providing value in fights. Pretty obvious but just a tip to notice if you play Wolvie: If you aren't getting the heals, like they are focusing on Tanks only or just bad about getting heals out. You might as well switch to provide value elsewhere because Wolvie is almost impossible to play with no heals.

As a newer player of hero shooters, I really enjoy the commentary on the plays because it helps me understand a lot more. I am definitely a support main (Luna) but it’s great to learn about these other characters this way
I’ve been stuck playing call of duty that playing Rivals for the first time, having not played Overwatch as much before, has been a BREATH of fresh air and it has been the most fun I’ve had
as a new hero shooter person who mainly played comp siege, i love these videos because they help me learn new characters without having to spend a lot of time on them just to learn their abilities.

I had been playing COD for years because I felt some sort of weird loyalty to it, like I couldn't play anything else. I stopped playing almost a year ago and since then, I've 100% Red Dead 2, discovered Diablo 4, played tech rap out of Cyberpunk and even messed around with Farming Simulator. There's a whole world of great games out there simply because they are FUN! it feels good to enjoy gaming again. Marvel Rivals is pretty awesome too.

I’ve never been into overwatch and those kind of games but I downloaded rivals 3 days ago and already have 20 hours played lol it truly is a breathe of fresh air from 2k25 and COD it really does feel like having FUN on a game and not having to play like my life is on the line every game 10/10 in my opinion

New to hero shooters…I wouldn’t even call this a shooter it’s so different. I have no clue what C9 was. Thanks for explaining it. However, some of the stuff is common sense to a decent player. Positioning 1v1 around health packs using movement to grab them when losing and etc. Very common tactics for a good player in any game. I also was semi pro in halo 3 doing game battle and played a lot of apex. Played games competing through out my early 20s competing in multiple games fighters and shooters. Was ranked in super smash brother Wii U. Played Tekken 7 traveling and competing. The commentary on this videos is more entertaining than informational but you point out good things from time to time. This gameplay is definitely not mid and clearly some of the highest level you can find. I appreciate the videos. It helped me quickly learn the roles and comps and also thought me how I can learn on my own to get better. A bunch of little details you point out I started picking up. Never played overwatch and very new to this genre. Trying to find people to play with in gold 3…very few hours played. I mainly play Starlord but usually strange in competitive cause I run solo and nobody goes tanks. Trash kids will be trash regardless.

There's so many people out there nowadays that want prettier cosmetics and huge battlepasses and the best visuals and want to have to beg their mom for 120 dollars to buy some shiney skins so their friends think their cool, that even some of the old-heads forgot that OG games didn't have any of that crap. Our only criteria for judging a game was "is it fun?". Calling a game over-rated because its not as shiney as you want it to be is like calling a the best burger in the world bad because they didn't add gold leaf or truffle to it.

Tbh, Tackling tanks into the void is not that hard - definitely cool, but when you’ve used that Tackle 100 times, it gets kinda easy to land them on an edge
26:30 Another reason could be that 2 Vanguards were stacking (he does more dmg to tanks), standing near each other, and he has 100 Rage (Wolverine's ult deal more dmg if you have more Rage). That Ult would straight up delete any Vanguards in the game if they dont get bubbled or shielded
I think there's too many people that don't realize how easy it is to forget what high-level play looks like with social media being so prominent. I know his chat is probably just trolling, but with all the short-form content showcasing multi-kills, sprees, ult resets, etc. it's easy to get lost in the sauce.
This guy is insane. I just think with that talent if he mained any good character he would be twice as good. Most top level players at this game do two things well, but this guy does 5 in order to play this character.
One of the things people gotta understand is that Wolvie is crazy with the supports, with the tanks that are peeling people off you on the front lines like Thor and Hulk...in low elo it's going to be extremely hard because all of those times where you're jumping in, you won't have the lune snowflake on you and you won't have dedicated heals and you're going to be die. If you actually kidnap someone, who knows if your team will even realize it in time to fight them with you lol.

Calling a game over-rated because its not as shiney as you want it to be is like calling a the best burger in the world bad because they didn't add gold leaf or truffle to it.

Tbh, Tackling tanks into the void is not that hard - definitely cool, but when you’ve used that Tackle 100 times, it gets kinda easy to land them on an edge

Another reason could be that 2 Vanguards were stacking (he does more dmg to tanks), standing near each other, and he has 100 Rage (Wolverine's ult deal more dmg if you have more Rage). That Ult would straight up delete any Vanguards in the game if they dont get bubbled or shielded
I think there's too many people that don't realize how easy it is to forget what high-level play looks like with social media being so prominent. I know his chat is probably just trolling, but with all the short-form content showcasing multi-kills, sprees, ult resets, etc. it's easy to get lost in the sauce.

This guy is insane. I just think with that talent if he mained any good character he would be twice as good. Most top level players at this game do two things well, but this guy does 5 in order to play this character.

One of the things people gotta understand is that Wolvie is crazy with the supports, with the tanks that are peeling people off you on the front lines like Thor and Hulk...in low elo it's going to be extremely hard because all of those times where you're jumping in, you won't have the lune snowflake on you and you won't have dedicated heals and you're going to be die. If you actually kidnap someone, who knows if your team will even realize it in time to fight them with you lol.

Can confirm as a subscriber of your's, some of us (probably a lot of former warzone players like myself) are brand new to hero shooters, and I for one appreciate the explanations because there is a lot to learn in this genre and in this game in particular, and it can be tough with all the acronyms and lingo people use when explaining what is happening and why the play someone just made was important!
