I never imagined that this toxic love of his would turn him into a mad psychopath. I'm sorry, but he deserved the end he did. He was so full of himself that he didn't understand the great play everyone was doing to deceive him. Luckily Qi had discovered in time that she had been poisoned and by whom and she was able to organize this big bluff
The only redeeming moment he had was at the very end when they fought, after she miraculously was alive again he had several chances to kill her during the fight but he held back because he couldn't stand to kill her a second time...he knew he couldn't come back from the monster he became, but at least in his last fight he didn't really try that hard to kill her again.
I have always blamed his aunt, she didn't love him. When a child grows without trust or love, that is a recipe for being a monster. When they finally get love and appreciation they want to hold o to it forever because they don't know when again they might get it and who again would show them. Which leads to destruction because there is a time for everything. Monsters aren't born they are made. It hurts knowing he could have been a good person and that's what hurt me the most.

While I do sympathize with his situation, real love doesn't kill, it let's that other person go to be who they truly love. He was obsessed. You lose yourself in the obsession. He tried to redeem him in the end so hopeful he can rest in peace knowing he finally did the right thing. Most monster are created but there are real ones that are born that way. It's like they are born without a soul or conscience. They disassociate from reality and people. They have no love or empathy. This guy was a broken soul. He could have done so much good and lived a truly good life.
This dude is one twisted little puppy. She's been honest about her feelings from the start but he couldn't accept the fact that she was in love with someone else. He went so far as to use her father's life to blackmail her into marrying him. When that didn't work he decided to kill her instead. If he couldn't have her then nobody can. He's the worst kind of man because he's blaming his actions on her. Instead of taking responsibility for his own twisted love he wants to blame her for rejecting him. Seriously this guy is beyond delusional. He married the right person because she's just as delusional as him. I know this isn't the end of Qi. She defeated him once already and I believe she's going to do it again.
