the whooping 20x zoom is a kickass feature for such a compact digicam.. not mentioning the so affordability of this model.

I have this camera and am still amazed at the quality of the video. The lens is so long too.
I have never used digital zoom and looking at your video I don't think it's worth using.
When you zoomed into the gold car to read the number plate it was so clear.
The lens is great for candid shots without people knowing you are videoing them :) People don't expect a tiny camera like this to have such a long lens.

Great camera..I have had mine ZS20 for about two months now and really enjoy it..video is equal in my opinion to my Panasonic TM700 3MOS camera which I sold as had fan noise issues

yes it is the tz30 is what the call it in europe and the zs20 is what they call it in the americas

I must say I am shocked in the beginning of the video, When you zoom in on a balcony and the picture is still very clear.
Im thinking of buying this camera, But I dont know which one to choose. The TZ30 or the Olympus TG820.. Olympus is waterproof, And Shockproof and just a type of camera that I want.. Because I want to take it everywhere..
With TZ30 I would have to be more careful..

I heard TV output is different. Not compatible with the TVs in the UK.

The video was pretty clear with good color and good image stabilization in optical mode.
But how is this camera in low light conditions? And how do you like the photos.
Dpreview.com says the photos this camera produces are not so good.

Hi there, have you tried "photo SFX art" (do a Google search for it)? There you will find a good free video showing the right way to take outstanding pictures. It made it easier for Joe to create pictures which leave you with that wow-effect whenever you take a look at them. I hope it helps you too...

Sorry if I sound stupid here, but how long can it record for? I guess it depends on how big the memory card is you have?
