Thank you. I got a weave it loom wooden with the 3 pins. At a yard sale many years ago. It’s from the 1930’s. Your video will help me figure it out. Dankeschön!
Thank you! I have a lovely 4 inch Hazel Rose loom I bought a few years ago somewhere but, unfortunately, I think it may have got lost in my house move. I have ordered a set of 3 looms in different sizes and needed a refresher as to how to weave on them! You have made such an excellent explanation of all the steps and I eagerly await my looms! I do remember, as a beginner, the last weaving row being a so and so if I had laid the yarn in too tightly. It is all coming back to me now. Thanks again 😀
You are the BEST. I am a visual learner and everything from the camera angle, clarity of instructions, the tips, drawing diagrams and kind voice made this process so easy for me. I’m a woman of a particular age now😉but thought 💭 to myself , how wonderful it would be if every child could have a wonderful teacher like you😘 Ty for the lesson! New subbie🫶🏽
Thank you, Connie, for taking the time to write such a nice comment. I'm so happy to hear that the video helped you to get started weaving! Best wishes for weaving many squares, having much fun, and making beautiful things.
Being a truly novice weaver, I watched a lot of videos trying to understand what I was supposed to be doing. Thank you for slowly explaining in detail how to begin this process. Your video is the best of the best and helped me to actually be successful!
Your tutorial just made it click for me. I'm following your directions for weaving right now. Thank you Thank you for the helpful video. I'm will definitely watch your video over and over.
Thank you for taking the time and share the good news! It's always a delight to hear when the video helped someone to get going on this awesome adventure of pin loom weaving ... have a great time, make beautiful things!
Thank you, Kathleen, for taking the time to provide feedback. It is very encouraging to hear that this video helps you to weave on you Zoom loom. Here's to many awesome projects!
Thank you! I just purchased 3 of your Turtle looms and while checking out your videos for how to use them, I saw this tutorial for the Zoom loom which I also have. It is so generous of you to include a video for a loom other than your own! Your teaching skills are excellent and I’m looking forward to using my Turtle looms and my Zoom. 👍🏼
I just bought a zoom loom and have been afraid to try it. None of the other videos made sense. Yours, especially with the extra little drawings, really helped. I am going to save this video so I can watch and do. THANK YOU.a
This is a great tutorial. Your patience, attention to detail, and helpful hints helped to make my first square on this loom a success!! YEAH!!! Thank you for sharing your expertise.
Dear Gabi, what a super-instructor you are!!!! I'm so excited and grateful. I had not used this loom for about 3 years, so I forgot how to do it. So, thanks so much! I subscribed to your tutorials. Look forward to seeing more. Best wishes from Cleveland, Ohio.
I found your tutorial last week. I was having a terrible time following the instructions that came with the Zoom Loom. I followed your tutorial step by step this evening, and I finally wove a perfect square! Thank you so much. I am making red Christmas stockings to attach to gifts and white doves for my fireplace mantel. I plan to weave a square each day. It takes about an hour for each square, but I hope to get faster.
I'm so happy to read this, Marguerite! Thank you for your kind words and sharing your enthusiasm. Best wishes for making many beautiful Christmas stockings ... have a wonderful season!
Thank you for this wonderful video. I received a Zoom Loom for Christmas from my sister. Watching your video is so much more informative than the package insert.
Hello Kati! Schacht makes the Zoom loom only in 4", but there are several other loom makers who make the same type of loom in larger sizes. here is an example: hazelroselooms.com/product/square-bookmark-multi-loom/
Thank you for your kind comment! It looks like you're on your way ... winding too tight is a very common problem in the beginning, and sometimes it's also the yarn. A few more weavies, more loosely, and you'll be a pro! Happy weaving.
Thank you for making this tutorial! I followed this video the first time I tried weaving on a Zoom Loom, and I return to it often, whenever I forget the steps or get stuck.
Such fine detailed explanation. Just what I was looking for. Thank you so much 😊 . I cannot crochet at the moment ( fractured my hand) so thought that the zoom loom I’ve had sitting for a year, would be a good substitute. Got through the first 3 steps alright, but the weaving will be difficult with only one hand...hmm...will have to think how I can do it now. But I love 💗 the tutorial
Thank you for your kind comment, and ... get well soon! In the meantime, a temporary solution in support of weaving with just one hand, take a flat plate or the back of that plate, or a book, put the Zoom loom on top of it, and hold it down with one or two rubber bands. That will give everything enough weight to stay in place, and you can easily turn the "loom holder" when you do the weaving. Unfortunately I can't add a photo to this comment, but feel free to contact me if you need more help. Best wishes for a quick recovery, and happy weaving!
There are multiple things you can do: My favorite and long lasting solution is to use one of those small round velcro dots and mount that to a side or under the loom (works on other looms, too). If you don't have one of those handy, make a slip knot, or use a small piece of tape to tape the tail to the side or bottom of the loom.
My needle is only 4 inches . I noticed your needle is a lot longer. It is difficult for me to weave.where can I purchase a longer needle . How long is your needle?
Oh, yes, 4" is short. I used a longer needle from my needle stash, and in general I recommend "loom width + 2 inches". I don't think I can post links here, but many people use a "Susan Bates 5 inch weaving needle" for their Zoom looms. You can find good needles, 5" or longer, on Amazon or Etsy. You can also use a book binder needle and dull the sharp tip. Before you buy, check that they are not too thick! Some cheap needle sets include needles that are too thick to go between the pins.
Tracy, I'm using the number of wraps that are recommended for the Schacht Zoom loom, which are 5 wraps. There is a stamp on the back of your loom to remind you of that. I talk about it in the video starting at 25:21
THANK YOU!!! I’m 75 and you made this very easy to learn! ❤️👵🏻 I hope!!😂
What a fun, sweet message, thank you! If anything comes up, let me know. Otherwise ... happy weaving!!!
Thank you! This is by far the best tutorial I have seen for the Zoom Loom. I am also left handed, so I understand the challenge!!
Thank you. I got a weave it loom wooden with the 3 pins. At a yard sale many years ago. It’s from the 1930’s. Your video will help me figure it out. Dankeschön!

I love this loom! My dream is The Big Zoom Loom! Exist big size this?
Hello Kati! Schacht makes the Zoom loom only in 4", but there are several other loom makers who make the same type of loom in larger sizes. here is an example: hazelroselooms.com/product/square-bookmark-multi-loom/
Wonderful tutorial. My first square was really tight and tough to weave, so I'm guessing I need to warp a little looser. Thanks so much!

I know it is quite randomly asking but does anyone know of a good place to stream newly released series online?
@Rocky Mayson i would suggest flixzone. You can find it by googling =)
What a excellent video Gabi for beginners. Thanks so very much😉
Thank you, Bonnie! That's such a kind comment from somebody who's already weaving up a storm!

I have a question, I see how you anchor the zoom loom with the notch. I have a weave-it loom with no notch
