- After the disappointment of the session on Saturday being curtailed by a small technical issue, Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli docked-out their achingly beautiful AC75 into near-perfect conditions for a Sunday commissioning sail of the highest order. Bristling with power, poise and real stability despite the legacy appendages, Jimmy Spithill and Francesco Bruni (later swapped out with Marco Gradoni), ramped up the intensity and began releasing the boat’s potential.

Same thing as an Italian! LR and ETNZ look very stable, even with legacy appendages. The debut of Alinghi and Ineos, seemed not that promising.

Wonderful footage, REALLY ! thank you , this footage is beutiful to see and inspiring. I love to see the speed, listening to the hiss of the rig and vibration of appendages is mind blowing literally. And the part with foling windsurfers AAAHHH so inspiring so moving: this is the sport I love: windsurfing and I started foiling after seeing AC36th...I said to myself the moment had come, if in Americas Cup they foiled then I had to to jump into it too. CHEEERS look forward for more. Now Luna Rossa looks in good shape.

Luna è stilosa. L'unica stonatura cromatica è il giallo degli arms in omaggio allo sponsor Pirelli. Speriamo di vedere presto i nuovi foils. In navigazione sembra molto stabile, e ancora l'equipaggio deve prenderci la mano.

Yeah, Early days... I've seen ETNZ sailing lower and lower during this first 10 days.
However if you look closer this footage, you can see some parts where LR is really close to the water and stable.
Good start for them, not so different to kiwis till now, let's see!

A view from the UK. The way Jimmy Spithill speaks Italian is so good you'd think he was a native. C'mon, is there, in a population of 70million in Italy, no one who can sail? What's the point defining them as a "Country's" boat. As far as i know, none of them are sponsored by a nation, they are all privately sponsored. See Formula 1 for details.

A mio avviso si alza troppa acqua e questa la rende poco veloce, poco interessa che sia bella deve essere veloce.
Troppo timone nell’acqua… la deriva fa più spruzzi dell’aliscafo Napoli-Capri, dai. Così non si pole vedé.. fintanto non montano le ali nuove la barca non va.. ovviamente. Forza LUNA ROSSA!

L'equipaggio è di 8 persone ma 4 sono ciclisti, 1 sarà il tattico, il timoniere è 1 solo? Gli altri 2 che ruolo hanno? Grazie a chi mi sa rispondere?
Ho fatto una piccola ricerca. Per quanto riguarda Luna Rossa (dando per scontati i 4 ciclisti) i timonieri dovrebbero essere due con il secondo a svolgere il compito di "flight controller" e quando non al timone anche la parte relativa al volo e quindi di "wing e flap" .Nella scorsa edizione mi pare che un tattico puro non facesse parte dell'equipaggio, ma si fosse optato per il doppio ruolo di Pietro Sibello come tattico e randista. I rimanenti due posti sono occupati dai trimmer addetti alla regolazione di foil e vele. Se ho scritto qualche inesattezza spero mi si perdoni xD .
