There was a small period in time when Joyce was considered to be one of the best HW in Britain 🇬🇧 and then one loss to Zhang and it was all over. Boxing 🥊 moves so fast 💨

It was the second loss which ended his "granite chin" misconception.
Then the not impressive performance against Kash Ali plus the loss against Chisora pretty much ended the hype for Joyce, especially considering that he's 39 and getting back to the top at that age is quite a hard task.
It's such a shame as I still believe he's a good fighter.

Zhang ruins fighters punch resistance. Dropped 4 granite chinned fighters with ease Hrgovic, Joyce, Wilder and Parker.
I think age has just caught up with him. He wouldn’t have lost to Derek a couple years back & I even think he’d have beaten Zhang at one point. People can say he’s overrated but he has had some good wins

Yea but when you take an L against a fighter like Chisora who is at the end of his career and gasses out after 2 rounds, you have to question if the fighter has a future.
I like Joe, he’s a nice guy and he’s switched on; he sees everything and misses nothing. The only trouble is, nothing misses him either.

It’s nice to see Joyce is back to his normal non slurry self. Some prior post and pre fight interviews have been a little worrying, but am thinking he may have actually healed this time around.

I cannot help but like Joe. Uncomplicated and honest, I just loved the way he didn't hesitate with his response "no chance" when asked about te prospect of Chisora beating Zhang! I'm incline to agree with him.
No one talks about Parker enough, hes on a great run right now, i say give him the winner of Joshua Dubois give Parker a chance to compete again for a title, he's been fighting at top level longer than most and if he wins maybe give Joyce a rematch, avenge the loss, and it gives Joyce a chance to compete for the title too. Other fighters need a crack at the title. Maybe even Dubois Joyce rematch if Dubois beats AJ.
Biggest mistake he made in his life was fighting Zhang on the cusp of a world title
He took a risk but isn't the best fighting the best in their respective divisions what we the public want? Some fighters barely have a risky fight in their career and expect fans to pay for one, one sided fight after another. Kudos to him.
Bruh he didn't even beat Chisora. He wasn't ever gonna get a world title. But he could've made some more money if he didn't fight Zhang.

Joe is a lovely lad and at one point I thought he could go all the way. Now after watching him taking massive punches time after time, he's seriously putting his health at risk. Against Dubouis he looked more accomplished but lost his way. And the wars have caught up with him. Great guy though, and I wish him all the best..
I didn’t give Chisora a chance against Joyce. I fought he would have been stopped within 6.
Sadly there has been a massive decline in Joe since Zhang and I think it’s fair to say he will never win a world title but will prob have another 2-3 fights and make a decent amount of money.

If like any boxer Joe passes his medicals and is fully aware of the possible negative consequences in continuing then its his decision to box or not

Zhang Vs Bakole would make an interesting fight. For me the best heavyweights curently id want to see fight include Usyk, Fury, Joshua, Bakole, Zhang, Parker, Dubious. With all these fighters it's hard to pick a clear winner but without doubt the one who has proven they are the no.1 is Usyk.
