- Hello, here's how I cleaned and conditioned my Red Wing Moc Toe 1907. This is the long version and you can watch a shorter version on my channel. I enjoy ASMR videos so I also like to make them.

Great video. I just bought a pair of 1907's and I'm still in the process of breaking them in. Almost all the way there. When I bought my 1907's, they had a sale and I got 2 accessories for free. I got the Red Wing leather conditioner and a pair of socks. I also have a pair of Iron Rangers in the same copper rough and tough leather. Very comfortable boots.
I used the red wing leather cream on both my boots. The 1907 and 8138 and no darkening in the boot. I love the way my boots feel afterwords as well. Great video!

You can lightly sand the soles to clean them too. It’s really fast and makes them bright as new.
You can use the bick 4 leather( non darkening) by itself so you don't darken the 1907s. It does a good job and keeps its color. If you want it darker then by all means use saddle soap or other oils

Hahah you know what I’m laughing at now huh!!! Lol 😝 I spoke to soon in one of my comments about the 1907’s lol. Hey so check it out, I am on my second pair of 1907’s. So the first pair I was kinda green on the whole maintenance of the boots. I bought the rough and tough copper. I love the color when I first bought them. Needless to say I was cleaning those bad boys after every use. I was using mink oil conditioner that I bought in the kit from red wings. It turned the boots the exact color of yours!! I was kinda pissed off because I liked that copper color. So I tried layer after layer of saddle soap and it just got darker. So I took them back to redwing and they did honor the return. So I learned to used leather conditioner creme on my boots that I don’t want the leather to darken. They keep the original color and kind of a Patina look in copper. So just a heads up. Leather creme to not darken boots, mink or leather conditioner to darken. Boots look good though. Might have to buy another pair again hahah.
All good, it looks like we have similar tastes in boots. I have the Iron Ranger in copper rough and tough leather as well and that one still maintains its lighter color. I think eventually they darken with use and when jeans rub on them. There are a few areas already getting there like the rear area and where I shift my bike on the toes left side. @@StylishGreaseMonkey I forgot to tell you also. So Thursday boot company has a Moc toe boot also. It reminds me of a RW 875 a bit. Price is not to bad either. I want to get my hands on some Whites Boot Company Moc toe boots that they finally came out with and are their first pair of boots to my knowledge under $300 dollar’s. Do you by any chance know anyone who has either ones of those boots or if you yourself have them. I’m more concerned about the comfort side of the house. It’s a lot of money to spend on something that may not be comfortable. Just food for thought. Hey what about old fashioned OLD SCHOOL Levi’s?? I gotta say those have been my go to’s here for the past few years now. I like the way they fit with any boot period. Kind of a old school retro look you know. I’m sure you have heard of Pendleton board shirts. Kinda like old school flanel just nicer. I tend to wear a lot of that look if you know what I mean. WESTCOAST LOOK!
@@bigdaddyguero13devildog11 I don’t have the Whites yet but that’s also on my list. There are a few reviews on it out there. Stridewise reviewed it and seems to be on the positive side. They compete with RW. I like my old school Levi’s. I have a review on a retro 501 here somewhere. I also have the old school Boot cut Ralph Lauren’s Polo. Doing a video on that next. Both are non-selvedge Jeans but pretty bad ass. I like the old school look but break it sometimes with some new school twist.

Anyone confition your insole? Mine have been neglected for a good while and are brick hard. Unsure if wearing them again will soften them up or if i need to treat them somehow?
I often place a quality insert when these things become hard. I think you can apply leather cream and it should soften in time.

Yes, 11.5 but I have size 11 in 875 and fits good.

Did you go a half size down or full size from your sneaker. I went full and first day very tight. How long is the break in would you say?
Boots u can have forever just have to keep getting new soles for em. Best leather out there.

Saddle soap is a leather stripper,there must be a lot oil on your boots. Personally I don't like the wet look shiny look. Keep a dry boot

I like it. It’s a good conditioner. I will try it on the Iron Ranger next.

I have the EFC but not wearing it on this video . I’m wearing the Seiko SNE395 solar watch on this one.

Dude those got dark as F with bick4. Non darkening my ass.
This particular 1907 was already dark from other oils. I have a newer one I scored from Savers and it still is a copper rough and tough color. Bick 4 works. My 875 is still looking new with this product.
