What do ya think about box stashing? I keep wondering what investment could be had from buying a few boxes of these types of runs and just leaving em sealed for some time to see what happens. You’d think at the very least, once the boxes are scarce, a sealed box would have SOME value to collectors? Do you ever put some aside for that reason?
That is actually the only way I can truly advise someone to invest into marvel cards safely to some degree. Of course, price point of entry into the box and timing of exit or the box is key like all investments but it’s the most sure thing I’ve experienced. As fast as me personally… I’ve opened every box I’ve ever purchased because I enjoy the experience more than the opportunity to make money

I commented on another of your recent videos about how I had 2013 marvel fleer retro. Two cases and a loose hobby box to be exact and …. Yeahhhhhh. I don’t have to say how insane it would’ve been to have left that be, sealed in a closet. So it had me considering what other similar potential there was in this concept. But I do agree, nothing beats the rush of opening these things. Taps into such a foundational joy and excitement. I was considering maybe doing something like… buying boxes or cases of runs that could be sought after and doing a 50/50 of opening and leaving sealed. Best of both worlds. I haven’t really decided. I have some fairly decent investment into that retro set in individual hits, so I could use the sales of those perhaps to reinvest sorta thing. Hm! Thanks again!

In sports cards as you know there is a thing called "Hot Boxes".. I don't think there are boxes out there with no hits, that's a manufactured banger of a box, a "Hot Box"! You nailed it dude congrats! I've opened a box of Topps Chrome before with every card, in every 6 card pack, being a black refractor parallel, plus it had 3 auto's instead of the 2 they promise, that were all #'d.. dude don't loose sleep tonight, celebrate!

If anyone hits a skyscraper shadowbox SP or SSP, or knows how they are distinguishing between them or how the numbering breaks down I am looking for that info. I assume the Dr Strange SS22 I hit is just the regular, but I am interested.
@@SpideyHits Yeah I figured it out. So my Bugle is number 23 but not an SP, that checklist jumps around, but on a few of the others including Shadowboxes the higher numbers are indeed SPs. Good news, Thanks!
In your opinion are Marvel cards still hot in the market or have they cooled off some? Looking to sell some graded marvel cards in the next few months and just want to know if timing might not be the best.
@@DRTOLLZ many things, what you mentioned, nostalgia for people in the prime income in buying years for collectibles, The belief that the cards will grade well (they dont gem at the rate people think - probably 10 gems a box). And I think the art is really compelling on some of the cards once you get them in hand. It was premium technology four its time and they still hold of compared to the modern cards
Just an amazing box all around! We really do need to know if they screwed up on the collating because some of us paid a hefty price for just 2 hobby box...........and that would really sour a new comer to further buying premium trading cards. 🤔
More crappy cards then good ones, cards from the 90s are nicer, I mean a pink SPENCER SMITHE, who is that? Spider man's science teacher? He ain't no hero, the half brother of that Jonah Jameson guy, good thing he found that hand drawn spider man or else it wouldn't be worth it, what you do is you save sealed those other boxes you have and wait til the other ones are all sold so the product goes up in price, paying $5,400 for a box of cards that was only a few hundred when released, a fool and his money will soon be parted, outsmarted

Listen sometimes I get sent a card with a nicked corner or a bend and I give it away because i only want mint cards in my collection but so be it, it's good that there's players that buy cards by the box or I wouldn't have any but I just can't do it, last thing I want is a dagger, silk or Spencer smithe and there's more to name and I'd just throw them away, and I don't want have any duplicates either
The Marvel products pricing has gotten out of control. What ever happened to the low end stuff for the average and beginner collectors. Really wish they had a retail product again.
They do … check target and Walmart for the retail release of this product for $30. Be careful though it does not include some of the more expensive and rare cards that are included in this box. Basically it’s worth the $30 that they are charging for the blasters

It gives the sp and ssp. I think the numbering starts at 17
