Yes. Skiers and snowboarders hike up the hill from Smuggs towards Stowe but usually drop into the back bowls. I've followed the trail all the way up to Stowe. I'm sure snowshoes would be helpful in fresh snow but there is usually a bootpacked trail that everyone walks up.
@@hudsonpierce2158 idk maybe because it’s a woods trail but I almost think it’s because at the time, they were making the ratings less of the four, green, blue, black and double and they just thought it was the “hardest trail there” Evan though it’s not just to make people think it’s going to be r ally hard idk though
5:06 looks like the "bees' nest" section of Black Hole. TBF, upper BH is more difficult than lower, but Liftline, especially the headwall, is more difficult than BH by any measure. Why isn't Liftline ∆∆∆? I think BH's designation is partly marketing, and partly because you can't see how tight, steep, and unforgiving it is until you're in it, and there's no way out. You see every part of Liftline from M1, so you know what you're getting yourself into, and there are a couple places to bail along the way.
In the good old days we used to love taking Snuffy’s trail back and forth (across Sterling pond).
Still there. Just not groomed
I love this dante. So glad ur just livin it up!!
🤘🤘🤘🤘thanks
Unbelievable! Still can’t believe you skied from Stowe to Smuggs and back in one day!!!
You have to, its free that way
Sweet video! So could a snowboarder use snowshoes to go in the uphill direction from Smuggs to Stowe?

I think from the ping therres a trail that leaves there to halfway down spruce
Amazing video! Did you have to get lift tickets for both mountains though?
You guys had a Michael Schumaker experience
Did you need a pass for both mountains?
But how did you get back to Stowe? Did you have someone pick you up and drive or did you take a lift and take the trail back?
Pretty good vid guys, thanks!
Was any of those trails black hole
Yeah, one of them, just before we went back to Stowe. It was steep and tight but it wasn’t as hard as maddona lift line. Idk why it’s a triple black.
@@dantechabot9166ik y isn’t mondona lifeline a triple black then it looks way harder lol
