It'd be nice to have the coaching adjustments be on a tab in the game menu. Then you wouldn't be limited in the time you have to make the adjustments.
I’ve noticed Madden 24 is significantly more difficult to play defense as the user vs the computer. Any Def adjustment the offense will immediately attack the opposite. It also instantaneously calls the perfect play to attack the coverage you’re in.
I finally realized the Key to CPU

Just have the play you want in Audibles and switch under center!

Haven't played in awhile but got Madden 24 for $12 on PS5. I had 23 on PC but my user controlling a player still sucks. The worst part for me is selecting the guy to tackle and it selects the other player on the opposite side and I'm so focused on the guy I thought would be selected the tackle ends up going away from the player augghh. But your video is helpful I wasn't always looking at how many wide receivers were in. Being lazy sometimes I take the coaches suggestions. Thank you for explaining the basics!
Just discovered your channel and have been enjoying it so far. I’m in a couple franchises with a buddy who’s VERY good at madden. We’re about even H2H, I think some of these tips push the odds in my favor haha. Keep it up 👍
This is my first year back in Madden in many many years. Offense took awhile but getting better. However, I just bumped up to all Madden and it is insane (only CPU for now). Jaguars scored a TD on every single drive over 4qtr with 8min qtrs. I even turned down CPU pass blocking, QB accuracy and WR catching. I blitzed, went 2 high man, cover 2, cover 3 in all different formations and it didn’t matter. Lawrence would sprint to his left with his back to the LOS then spin around and throw a perfect pass to a WR.
I like difficult but CHEAP is why I left Madden years ago.
I know this is late but bumping the qb accuracy actually helps because it makes them throw more deep balls
This is my first year playing madden since 2017 and I suck so bad right now. I just got it for Black Friday. There's so many changes since I last played lol

@@benjared633cuz Madden wants you to press 3 buttons at once so you make the right type of pass. Then once the ball in the air you gotta switch to the wr and enter another special combination on the controller 😂😂😂😂

Every year in madden, i gotta compete against QBs who throw 35/40 pass attempts because they always throwsome quick passes that my defenders just watch happen.

Cover 3 is really bad right now. It's leaving guys wide open way too often. I'm doing more cover 2 and cover 4 when i play zone. Cover 4 is working better than cover 3. That's crazy.
thats because madden doesn't have realistic cover 3 options, so you have to manually adjust the weak side and tweak the zone depths for the strong side in most cases. Or play match coverage

I was getting cooked when game first dropped but, I've adjusted to game.
U might wanna run ur cover 3 and then on key downs flip the defense, press, or user play a defender into the voids in the zone they continuously target.
Definitely leads to them turning it over in my opinion just gotta pick and choose when to press, flip play etc
Gonna start managing my defense like this see how it goes. I have a ton of losses in online because i cant stop a cold especially aggressive players that love to go deep. My best strategy has been man and hope the player throws a stevie. Anybody that knows how to use lamar its a wrap lol.

My defense has went way downhill since the new update. No clue why, but been getting burned consistently and was solid before the update. If you can't tell, I'm blaming the update haha
Cover 3 is extremely bad right now. Safeties are also pretty bad as well which doesn’t help

Yeah they still haven’t fixed the one thing I hate most about madden either. My wr will be running a crossing route and than immediately stop behind a random defender. I’ll throw a pick every time because it’s so inconsistent. Sometimes he will keep going and I’ll anticipate that and try and throw to him on the run as soon as he goes past the defender. Crazy thing is the defender doesn’t even move have the time. He’s just there in his stance and the CPU WR just stops the route lol Other times he just stops right behind the defender. Makes zero sense that that keeps happening.
Happens to me too or receiver will become open after he’s bumped way down the field then drop it
Slants are broken this year. They will just stop mid route. The game is broken.

I mostly just run nickel with 2 fast mlb, but occasionally run 46 if i think they're gonna run. Dime if i think they're gonna go deep like 3rd and long 4 verts that the cpu loves doing so much.
That alone will boost my play calling. Also the zone shades; i wish i knew what all the colors meant. I assume some are like hard zones, and others are more read assignments since sometimes the coverage just takes off down field instead of playing their zone.

As a casual football fan who does not know much past a basic rules and nothing about formations or player roles, and who wants to get into Madden for the first time, this video just sounds like jargon.

I played Madden in high school, but I never actually learned how to play the game like this. Right now it's hard for me to get enough time to actually make any adjustments, especially when the CPU just hikes the ball after two seconds. I don't want to go online yet, because I know I'm just gonna get roasted though.
If your opponent is running play action a lot wouldn’t you play a 3-4 or 4-3 but sub in safeties for Linebackers. That way you can stop them if they decide to run but if they keep the play action you at least have safeties on Wide receivers

I'm new to madden and in version 24 every play I choose to run isn't the play that is run. Is there a setting I need to make to change this? For example I will choose a run play but the play is always a pass play. It's odd.

Is it smart to gameplan around opposing teams players such as wideouts, tight ends, running backs ( I know it’s a yes for mobile QBs) and QBs that have either low accuracy on mid or high pass accuracies? Or QB tendencies such paranoid or trigger happy in sensing pressure and if the QB is aggressive or conservative in forcing passes? Sorry I know it’s a 3 part question. Thank you in advance and I really enjoy what you do brother!

I play franchise on defense and all I get to watch is my defense cover nobody the ai quarterback throw for 400 yards and 2 incompletions and the running back gets 300 yards and it's like every game....

The CPU offense doesn't give you enough time to make any adjustments beyond a quick shift of the line. I have tried to do a few of the more complicated moves and have been burned almost every time.
defense in this game for me is just hope for the best, if its a run hope its near me.. and if throw hope cpu sticks with guy... i pick a guy and blitz with him.. i never know who i should be controlling pre snap and what to do with them? it seems who ever i chose, the ball goes where they would have been had i not chosen them!
What is better man to man or zone defense ? I'm looking at buying some new CBs but dont know which is better.

Man I suck at defense so hard. I’m great on offense, but cpu usually scores (TD many times) and I mostly play on Pro level.
I’ll get him to 3rd down but always get burned on a mid-deep passing play.
I have a question, but thank you for the video. My question would be after all the adjustments I’ve made is there anything you do with the controller or should you not do anything? I tend to hear a lot of buttons mashing when I watch the videos, but I have no idea what buttons.
im lost, everytime i call a zone none of my deep blues pick up and just sit there and let a route run all in front and through their zone and they sit there and do nothing. Doesent matter how much coverage i have in that are whether its 2-3 zones in the top of my coverage they just dont like to play their zones and never pick up or run down into other zones like my opponents do. is there any reasoning or defensive setting that im missing?>

So that I can be clear, I understand adjustments what to do with a Controller wants to pull the stat what to do with a Controller before so
Your video is on point, but here’s the problem. EA’s interpretation of what A.I. is. The qb’s in madden football never make mistakes, so adjusting defensively in madden is a waste of time. Sure, every once in a while adjusting defensively woks, but not when you need it to. Madden is the only football game I’ve played where the quarterback can have 300+ yards and go 24 for 25 and not skip a beat. No defensive adjustments can fix that. On paper, the features in madden football, both defensively and offensively are great, but those features fall flat when the game itself is heavily flawed. Again, great video, but I can’t see this video being more useful for other football games. Not Madden….

I’m here to know does match defense work in madden 24. I play CPU and their Cover 3 match works perfectly but mines never work. So they always complete short passes and the WR never completes the routes
Defense is horrible so far hopefully next update they do something about it. No the run game hasn’t improve they just made the defense suck & awareness suck too

How do I practice this? I try in practice mode but the offense snaps it so fast I don’t have time to do anything and I don’t know how to stop time to be able to get used to everything.
They won’t snap it if you stay on adjustments or just hold RT

Mid blitz is the most op play u usually get consistent pressure and when they adjust with quick throws quickly adjust to cover 2 and they will probably throw a dangerous throw that could be picked
