You can say that but can’t as dizzee and wiley came from garage to grime and that’s how it was created. No one came from grime to drill only the producers but they werent even grime themselves they just made 140 bpm
idk, there's something really basic about UK drill, very amateurish, they seem to use a limited bank of sounds to make music, the same thing chopped up again and again, the themes seem similar which is why there's a risk of some guys not wanting to rap if they can't gloat and threaten people in their tunes, they really have nothing else to say. The music clips have the same themes and editing techniques as if there's a very basic level Drill video rule book, In fact, it's perfect music for the Instagram generation who have an attention span for as long as it takes to swipe up. Before you people start cussing me for my opinion I think it's fair to say that this music isn't for me to listen to and I won't be from now on, y'get me? Enjoy fam
nah that is the drill formula bro, it’s not amateurish if you have so many countries drawing influence from our sound. drill music has always been a reflection of the lifestyle the artist is living so for them to talk their shit is just what it is. for you to truly appreciate the music look at it from an artistic point of view and idk what your on about with the visuals, no two videos are the same and if everyone sounded the same it wouldn’t be one of the most popular genres.
Some off the topics are dumb, 10% of world listening to the uk music scene, there are so many artists in the uk now plus English is also a top language plus the resources and stuff we got it’s easy spread the scene.
